As far as I know astrology isn't allowed in Islam, so its probably not allowed in Pakistan.

Agree not allowed in Islam but our govt so far has nothing to do with Islam so allowed in Pakistan

The last I heard Pakistan was an Islamic state, so I believe your government might have something to do with Islam.

Although, surprisingly astrology is quite popular in Pakistan. Might be a cultural thing.

Well Astrology is not popular as it might be there in India but we have Jafar and Palmistry to some degree. Jafar has some suffi-background so it is acceptable to some degree in few circles. I have seen women more interested in Palmistry as they want to know when they will be married and how many children they are going to have Girl Reasons you know!

Name is Islamic Republic of Pakistan, laws are not fully Islamic, some laws are Islamic, rest are the same old British Raj acts & laws.

A country is & should be called Islamic when it is governed by Islamic laws. We are somewhere in between.

Majority of people are Muslims but laws are mostly based on Roman laws.
