A Muslim is not allowed to recite Gita or Bible, thats why they are banned not only in Mecca, but in the whole Saudi.

Actually its forbidden to believe in it, not forbidden to read it. It should be forbidden to be a frog in a well, though. There should be no restriction on gaining any sort of knowledge. Learn it, use it. Even if its the wrong thing, once you learn it, you'll learn what the wrong thing is.

In his book he mentions some part of Gita..but it doesnt mean that he is not a muslim..one of my friend here gave me a link of Holy Quran to read it..is that mean I am a Muslim?Whats wrong with reading it?


And about being Shrik one of the elite member here calling Kalam shirk offered me pork meat cooked by herself ..Is it better to look in to yourself than branding other good muslim or bad muslim?

BTW, does anyone has any opinion whether Zakir Hussain or Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed were also TRUE muslims or were they also closet Hindu's?? Was this also a bharathi / hindu bhaniya propoganda???

No one in India even knows of these 'Gita related facts'. If he calls himself Muslim, he is one, period. Stop your armchair fatwas. And being a journalist, you need to educate yourself better about things before your childish "lolxxxxxxx" comments. India has had 2 more Muslim presidents in the past, go and find out about it. And anyway, most of us don't care if he is Muslim, Christian, devil-worshipper, whatever. He is one of India's icons, and that's enough for us. Tough to understand for someone who is brought up on a diet of "them vs. us", but thats how it is.

Whether APJ Kalam is a muslim or athiest should not have any say in his selection as president in India as far as my little understanding of the Indian constitution goes.
Religion is one's own personal matter in my view...
If Indians boast about having a Muslim president then they belie the Idea of India being secular... a secular nation does not care about who is what... it does not matter.The Religion on my ID card is only needed by people in case I die and no one is there to claim me for burial... so they know how to bury me... That is what it should be.
Its sad.. that Initially people were embraced into the circle of Islam on the slightest of intentions and good will in Islam's golden era. Now people look for excuses to expunge people from Islam.
In the words of Gen Tariq.. " Who are these people to hand out certificates on who is a good Muslim or not?"
It is up to god to decide... He will judge APJ on what his beliefs and deeds were.. not maulana so and so.

Indians don't 'boast' about having a Muslim president (more than one actually) - we respond to Pakistani trolls who paint Indians as some bunch of Muslim-persecuting ogres. Read my reply to Jana above - Abdul Kalam is probably the most loved president of India, and not because of his religion, or the absence thereof.

In that case i will repeat that so in Indian a Muslim can be given respect only if he/she compromise his faith.
