Is a Secular Pakistan the solution?

Lets take a look at the benefits.

From an economic perspective this will warm relations with the West if Pakistan is openly declared a secular nation. Trade would increase tenfold.

On a societal POV removing religion from the corridors of power will ensure mental lunatics with flawed education upbringing in maddrasshs and mosques would no longer be able to decide what is best for the country. Rationality and reason would become king and so would ethos of society in general - less corruption, inept leaders etc.

All banned religious militant wings would vanish. Sectarian conflict would end as government would become truly neutral.

In fact Pakistan would become a peaceful country. Terrorism would end as foreign intelligence agencies would back off.

Pakistani society is saturated with religious dogma. Too much of something is always bad even if it is good.

Eating too much food is bad. Too much exercise is bad. Religion works the same way. In fact over religiosity is a form of mental illness. Like conspiracy theory nutjobs or heroin addicts. They lose grip on reality.

Right now the country is controlled and influenced by dogma and people not fit to lead. Time to change this.

I think government and the law of Pakistan should be impartial to religion, aka secular. You can still have it be "Islamic Republic" for ceremonial reasons. Let molvies into the government and they will set the world on fire. Didn't JI's leader said some time ago that soldiers dying in FATA are not martyrs. In any case, doing that now would be suicidal; they shot Salmaan Taseer because he talked about reforming the law so the innocent don't get convicted. However, I do see this happening in another 100 years.

Pakistan was destined to be a Secular Nation by its Founder Jinnah with Muslim majority. I don't understand why its Islamic Republic of Pakistan right now, it was supposed to be the 'Republic of Pakistan' it was created as the 'Republic of Pakistan' with everyone having equal rights.

Well, it was created a dominion. Became a republic. Then Zia turned it into an islamic republic to solidify his rule.

Zia did not convert or turned its made for muslims to rule by muslims under islamic law and values. and yes indiginous communities from different religious background sud be proctected by any cost and free to practice their religion.

There is a reason behind secularism. Religion has nothing to do with politics. Politics has stained Islam.

Solution to what?

The all problems you mentioned as actually problem due to this dual personality of Pakistan, on the one hand they study throughout Pakistan is made for Islamic reasons, then in the end, they keeps away going from Islamic Ideologies, what Islam taught not because of Islam itself.

There is no moderate, or extreme Islam. Islam is the way it is, and if you follow you will be a blessing on whole world.

And if you think secular can take you anywhere, the turkey is best example who is still begging for being part of EU.

Same UK was the place in 60s where a Cab Driver wearing muslim cape was considered more reliable then any of other people. But now media has dilouted Islams and Muslim vision which is since we stopped practicing Islamic and Prophet Muhammad SAWW teachings. Islam teaches us to respect other Muslim, who does that in Pakistan? Islam teaches us to give zakat, who does? Islam tell us to be good to your neighbors are we following Islamic teaching at all?

This is about our Brains, High Intelligences levels and Education, not religions issues. Pakistan offer zero efforts on Education for many years.

Look at Jewish state of Israel, they use brain, wisdom and caring in small numbers. United States of America always called a beautiful Protestant Country better than others and Europe as a Catholic Empires in long history. China is on the rise, you know why.

Pakistan so far doesn't come to final solutions to increase our education, schools, and universities. What they do love is same habits of arguments and old arguments until next arguments. They don't have capable to think straight or realize something.
