Is a Secular Pakistan the solution?

There is a reason behind secularism. Religion has nothing to do with politics. Politics has stained Islam.

Religion specially islam teaches you morality, humanity. and Politics is strickly worldly thing where you lose track to gain world.
like all over politicians. how many you can count have good moral values cuz they dont use deen. they change their stance , brake promises and gives us reason that its a politics and in politics it happens.. thats where we have or sud use words LIAR.

In perhaps, the most significant part of his address to the Constituent Assembly Jinnah said:

“You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this state of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed, that has nothing to do with the business of the state. … We are starting with this fundamental principle that we are all citizens, and equal citizens, of one state.”

It is clear from these words that the Quaid saw Pakistan as a state in which there would be a separation between state and religion and that Pakistan would be a country in which people of all faiths are equal citizens. There was to be no distinction between a Muslim and a non-Muslim in terms of rights, privileges and responsibilities.

These are Quaid's words not mine.

Its pretty crystal clear that Quaid wanted a Secular Muslim Majority state, NOT Islamic Republic of PAKISTAN.

.
So you want Pakistan to get rid of democracy and impose Shariah Law in the country thats what Talibans want???

Dude, PAKISTAN WAS meant to be a Muslim majority Country with a Secular CONSTITUTION, THATS WHAT QUAID E AZAD MUHAMMAD ALI JINNAH WANTED, Please go through Quaid E Azam's last speech.

His address to the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan on August 11, 1947 is really a classic and a forceful espousal of a secular state in which every citizen would be free to follow his own religion. The State shall make no distinction between the citizens on the grounds of faith. My respectful homage to this great man.

I was looking for that.

These Speeches by Quaid-e-Azam clearly express what he envisioned for Pakistan.......

Too bad your idea of Pakistan is NOT what Jinnah wanted.

yeah Shariah Law is doing quite well in Saudia Arabia, Women can't even get out of their houses without wearing Burqas 24/7, they can't sing, can't drive, can't DO ANYTHING literally, I went to Saudia some years ago, and its a living hell for women there, they have no rights NOTHING AT ALL. its people like you and their distorted views that are ruining our society. WE CAN'T ENFORCE ANYTHING ON ANYONE, Pakistan was never meant to be a Islamic State, State should have nothing to do with Religion.

Democracy and Shariah rules can't survive together.

Either Pakistan should get rid of Democracy and impose Shariah Law and become another Saudia Arabia.

OR

Become completely secular like Jinnah wanted.

. .
Right now Pakistan is a sandwich between Islamic Pakistan and Secular Pakistan, We call ourselves Islamic Republic while we call our System Democratic System, thats ridiculous. We seriously need to redefine our path, either become pure Islamic state with No Democracy and Western Laws or Become a Secular Muslim Majority state like Jinnah visioned.

Your thoughts are too extrem to either left of right... i heard the same word from one of my jewish collegue that life of women in islam is hell.. i see the same line of two extreme..
i assume you were their to perform umrah.. have you done peacefully?
or you were there to change their country's law.. its saudia arabia's law you want it live with it or no one is forcing you its law of land..they use some sharia but not purely..
as i mention before our khulfa e rasheed implemented true sharia .. rest is just bad shapes of it cuz no one is honestly working on it.. same goes to any system...
so its human not islams fault..

Secular doesn't mean that you can't be muslim. It just means that government or the law does not care what religion you are.

Exactly, thats what some people needs to Understand.

From an economic perspective this will warm relations with the West if Pakistan is openly declared a secular nation. Trade would increase tenfold.
That's your fantasy, we will always be terrorists to them. Case of putting lip stick on a pig.
Rationality and reason would become king and so would ethos of society in general - less corruption, inept leaders etc.
USA is a secular state, are they free if nut jobs? Insane theory.
In fact Pakistan would become a peaceful country. Terrorism would end as foreign intelligence agencies would back off.
...

When you are not secular, you are allowing religion to intermingle with politics.

Now, the one which is stronger will superimpose on other.

So you guys decide - Have politics ruined your religion, or religion have improved your politics?

Your take.

Lets take a look at the benefits.

From an economic perspective this will warm relations with the West if Pakistan is openly declared a secular nation. Trade would increase tenfold.

On a societal POV removing religion from the corridors of power will ensure mental lunatics with flawed education upbringing in maddrasshs and mosques would no longer be able to decide what is best for the country. Rationality and reason would become king and so would ethos of society in general - less corruption, inept leaders etc.

All banned religious militant wings would vanish. Sectarian conflict would end as government would become truly neutral.

In fact Pakistan would become a peaceful country. Terrorism would end as foreign intelligence agencies would back off.

Pakistani society is saturated with religious dogma. Too much of something is always bad even if it is good.

Eating too much food is bad. Too much exercise is bad. Religion works the same way. In fact over religiosity is a form of mental illness. Like conspiracy theory nutjobs or heroin addicts. They lose grip on reality.

Right now the country is controlled and influenced by dogma and people not fit to lead. Time to change this.

Why the hell you need to create Pakistan for? Has the experiment failed?? :woot:lo

so much for two nation theory....lol

. .
Pakistan seems to be Hijacked a long time ago..
Yes it is Already hijacked from 1956. Enough religion B.S and in the name of to protect Ummah b.s. We should give priority to country instead of promoting religion. Be neutral, and do anything which is in the interest of our country. Promote only peace, invest in R & D and only economy.
