Iran's Supreme Leader's speech on Myanmar

We dont want Bad relation with India! we want equal relationship based on mutual partnership!! We dont want our leaders in Bed with India, that doesnt mean we want war!!

we dont want bad relation with Myanmar either! But Rohingyas comes first than Burmese Govt to common Bangladeshis!

Sorry to break the bubble bro - "equal partnership" is a mirage in international politics. There is no such thing as "equal partnership". The center of gravity in a relationship tends to be on the side of the nation with more muscle and money power. Harsh truth. Get used to it. You will not have an "equal relationship" with India unless you are $1.8 economy and have couple hundred nukes.

We will inshallah get there. But another harsh reality is that India being the hegemonic expansionist they are was, has and always will try to hinder our progress and you have been doing that since1947 or even before that. And yes we know and accepted that reality but the problem occurs when your delusional countrymen spout rubbish and garbage like "be grateful to us for 71" and always trolling and spouting rubbish about our religion and history. This same line is spouted shamelessly whenever your pathetic countrymen run out of arguments. You are one of those shameless trolls too.

Well, let's replace "equal partnership" with "equal respect". You respect us, we respect you. It's human nature. ;)

But who takes the first step? We're both scared that a good gesture from our respective sides might be seen as a sign of weakness. Hmmm...

But can your parties refrain from dragging India everywhere, just look the extent of propaganda being executed by dragging India even for government regulations on madarsa(Kobiraaz posted one such picture)

I honestly respect a Bangladeshi as much as an Indian. Its plain stupid to judge people by their nationality.

However, the way some BD posters keep doing propaganda and keep dragging India into everything, they seem usure of the respect they deserve.

I''m not talking about you of course.

Yeah..but then you must not be screaming holy murder and blaming RAWAMY for everything.

You are one of those shameless trolls too.

As if I care what a clueless jamati rajakar thinks of me. Bugger off.

This I can somewhat agree on. "Respect". But then that is an entirely subjective notion - what constitutes "respect" towards each other. And I dont see any signficant Indian population screaming "dalali" when some concessions were given towards BD. The same cant be said to be true from the other side which sees an Indian hand in almost everything.

It would have been more significant if Kim Jong Eun spoke out against us.

BTW has Iran's supreme leader spoke out against the killing of muslims perpetrated by their Syrian puppet Assad yet?

Why the hell do you compare a Syrian civil war with the slaughtering of Rohingya muslims whose land you have been illegally occupying since 1820s? I wonder why some Burma-loving Mullahs in this Forum keep quiet about these murders. To these ignorant Mullahs Burma is a great friend of BD and, therefore, should not be disturbed. It seems SHW has accpted their adivice and kept mum on the slaughtering of Arakan Muslims. SHW has no balls, but these Mullahs are similarly without balls. These ignorants even unitedly protested the construction of an advance airforce base in Cox's Bazaar.

Since when you have stopped flattering the Indian posters, your night-dream partners? It is a miracle that you are not trolling at least in this post although it also is a one liner.

Useful speech, at least better than what so called leaders in BD have said so far.

Do not talk rubbish about your nuclear bombs. You need a billion bombs like that to fill the hungry stomachs of a billion Indian poors. So, keep on producing them and keep your people hungry. $1.8 trillion super-poor India!

Asean mulls assistance for Myanmar Rohingya
Turkey sends FM to observe situation after massacre reports

Southeast Asian nations are considering humanitarian assistance for Muslim-minority Rohingya facing "pain and suffering" in Myanmar, the head of the ASEAN regional bloc said yesterday.

Association of Southeast Asian Nations secretary general Surin Pitsuwan said the bloc should be "part of solution to the problem" that escalated in June with a bloody clash that displaced around 60,000 people, mostly Rohingya.

"I have made a proposal (to our member countries) that Asean should once again offer humanitarian assistance, like we did during the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis four-and-a-half years ago," Surin told reporters, referring to a storm which left 138,000 people dead or missing in Myanmar in May 2008.

"Individual member states of Asean are also making their own efforts to help relieve the pain and the suffering of the Rohingya," he said, without specifying in which country the aid would be delivered.

He said the offer to assist the Rohingya had garnered support from several Asean members and that Indonesia and Malaysia, both Muslim-majority nations, had also offered to directly assist the Rohingya.

Around 80 people, both Buddhists and Rohingya, were killed during the June violence in western Myanmar's Rakhine state, according to official figures, while rights groups claim higher death tolls.

"Myanmar becoming the chair of the Asean will be the focus of the attention of how it is handling such an issue. There must be some roadmap to the solution", Surin said on the sidelines of Asean's 45th anniversary celebrations.

Meanwhile, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu yesterday left to observe the situation in Myanmar, from where he said Turkey was receiving "conflicting information" regarding deadly religious violence.

The foreign minister said he had to go himself and "observe the situation on the ground" to have healthy information, but his main purpose was "to make sure help reaches those people in no time.

Decades of discrimination have left the Rohingya stateless, and they are viewed by the UN as one of the world's most persecuted minorities.

Myanmar's government considers the estimated 800,000 Rohingya in the country to be foreigners while many citizens see them as illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and view them with hostility.
