some points for other members :

1- Fajr was a 50kg imagery Sat. with on-board Gas propellants which gives it the capability to change orbits without the carrier and thus more endurance

2- its the 4th sat. launch of IRI .

3- iran also possesses new carriers namely Simorgh , Ghaem and in near future Sepehr and ghoghnoos .

4- iran is one of the 10 countries which are now capable of putting their own sat. in space . when iran joined the club back in 2009 , there were only 7 countries capable of doing so .

5- the Fajr. sat was put in 400km orbit of the earth and has a life span of 1.5 years \

once again , i thank all indians , pakistanis , indonesians , bangladeshis and .... for their support .

The achievement here is not the launch the fact that safir managed to put anything at an altitude above 400km is a great achievement I guess it's a first time a missile as small as safir and with only 2 stage managed to put anything at that altitude.

I recall when we used safir to put Omid in orbit there was a debate on Internet that they believed it's impossible a missile based on scud can reach orbit and they were thinking that Iran used a new fuel for the launcher and after several day and after iran told the world about technical detail of the flight they concluded we used the missile at its limit and we managed that by using a thinner body for the missile but we used a stronger material for the body. But now we used the same missile to launch a heavier satellite to an altitude of approximately twice of what we managed with Omid satellite.
Honestly I think the missile have some serious optimization compared to the safir we used in Omid launch.

Fajr, is an imaging satellite which also carries an experimental locally made GPS system. The satellite will have a life span of 1.5 years. It is the first Iranian satellite to use "Cold Gas Thruster" and has solar pannels.

GPS system requires multiple satellites , and multi satellite are required not only to cover large area but the working process of GPS requires signals bounced of from multiple satellites and then calculate the time difference , then pin point latitude.

Its same old Safir which cant launch anything more than toaster to space. Even much larger Simogh which is not ready yet has barely 100 kg capability.

LOL kiddo. GPS/GLONASS satellites are flying ate 20,000 km, weight ~700 kg and are stabilized. Of course u need at lest dozen such satellites even for limited capability.

Your thing is just another unstabillized flying toaster, which can send beeps in good case.
