What is the point of that opening on that left? Is that a torpedo launcher? Makes the design look weird.

Seems the drone boat is useless outside of light anti piracy, sea patrol and monitoring.

Would have made more sense to make it more stealthily and 1-2 light anti ship missiles equipped. Not sure what an automatic machine gun will do in a real fight.

I just make some wild guesses..the opening seems like some kind of maintenance access to engine or in case they use electric propulsion then battery etc..

May be they use that super cavitation torpedo Hoot with this boat ..all depends what we're the requirements imposed on the design..and we do not even know if they go with such mockup layout..all guesses at this point..

Its a deck for maintenance to make it accessible for anyone wanting to work on it while at sea, in a safe manner.

It’s quite clear there is an issue in Iran Navy shipyards.

Shahid Solemani was built in 1 year or so. And subsequent ones will be built faster.

If you gave the same job to the Iranian Navy it would likely take them 3+ years.

Our first Mowj vessel was in 2008. 14 years later we have how many? Extrapolate this production rate and Iranian Navy will take decades to even field a large enough competent blue water navy.

Unless that bulky structure in front of the mast is something else, it'd be the radar that would yet have to be installed on the unveiled unit. In which case, those who were speculating that the Shahid Soleimani is essentially "deprived" of it (including certain relatively unfriendly users who claimed they could submit a better design), would be proven wrong.

Some were delayed because Iran was still developing tech they wanted in them. Like Shiraz/Talayieh (now Zagros), Taftan, and Damavand-2
