- This corvette only carries a surface search and navigation Radar, then another one (but this is very dubious) carries the possibility of a fire control radar which has a very small form factor (even the Tor radar and fire control is much larger or even this is about 4 times smaller from the Mark 92 fire control radar)
its not commissioned its in sea test trial the radar will be installed later.
- The position of the helipad is too protruding upwards and it does not useless as it can make it difficult to get weapons (torpedoes or missiles) onto the helipad
helipad is upward dear genius because the exhaust of cruise missiles will be sent below it
- This corvette is likely to carry 4 Qader and 2 Nasr anti-ship missiles.
it carry 6 anti-ship cruise missile in its current formation those 6 can be anything , you just need to load desired canister
The position of the anti-ship missile launcher tilts to the center towards the helicopter in the parking lot, this is very risky when the missile is launched it can burn the helicopter or soldier or even the possibility of burning the corvette itself if it is made of thin aluminum
as i said the exhaust go between the body and under the helipad not into the helipad and those area can be covered with many thing to make it heat resistance by the way we fire those missiles from our hovercrafts , you think firing them from this catamaran is harder

- This corvette does not carry air search radar long range
will be installed after the sea trial test

- This corvette does not carry air search radar long range
the airdefence system is said is equal to dezful or Tor , its missile use cold launch by the way you think where is the exhaust for VLS system

- The air defense missile carried is most likely the Iranian version Tor shorad (with the number of missiles carried between 16 to 32
what you expect you say corvette not guided missile destroyer
look at what China type-056 or India Kamorta class or Kora class or Khukri class or better Indonesia Bung Tomo class or Diponegoro class carry and each of them is at least 3 time heavier ship so no its a lot better armed than many ship with the same mission around the world

funny the Indonesian ships one carry obsolete Seawolf for air defense and another one a man-pad converted into air defense system called Mistral

IRGC will have 12 of these, in case anyone is wondering.

IRGCN is expanding at fast pace. I wonder why they do not go for submarines.
Isn't their a Al-mohandes class sub they talked about working on?

That's a solid amount of air cover that would be added to protect Iran's airspace. The IRGC-N which was not very important conventionally look to now be developing into the front-line for Iran technically, as they would be the first to deal with stand-off munition entering Iran from the south and from the Gulf of Oman.

They do. This was explicitly stated by an IRGC official, that they will add submarines to their arsenal soon. Then in a chart published by Iranian media few weeks ago (it was posted in this thread), the first IRGC-operated submarine was shown among a list of U/C vessels.

Iranian sub launched missiles, Jask-2 allows Ghadir and Fateh submarines to launch CMs. In future, Besat may possibly have SLBM launch ability after they increased the tonnage and re did the design.
If I recall those are IRIN subs, If the IRGC wants to go into sub design, they will surely incorporate some VLS in there.

Indonesia strategically is in western camp, don't you guys think that it is a friendly country because it is a Muslim majority country.

They halped SK when Iran seized Korean tankers. They conduct military exercises to counter China in collaboration with USA.

Ideoligically, they are close to Wahabi school of thoughts.

When you put all these factors together, you will find out why their arse goes on fire in case of increasing Iranian firepower. Ignore the self pro claimed expert.

As expected (my guess turned out to be right)!!! Shahid Soleimani's corvette catamaran is an AMATEUR.

In the past, before this corvette was launched, many Experts (who were actually Amateurs too) were too proud of this amateur corvette, now everything is clear in their eyes (the blind, pretending to be experts).

This catamaran corvette has a messy design shape, is too forced, has no clear purpose or function, and the main risk is that this corvette will destroy itself because of the wrong design.

Here is my assessment of Shahid Soleimani's corvette:

- This corvette doesn't seem to have a CIWS system it only has RCWS weapons

- This corvette judging from its shape (it doesn't have fire exhaust) probably uses a cold-launched VLS

- The air defense missile carried is most likely the Iranian version Tor shorad (with the number of missiles carried between 16 to 32

- It is also possible that the larger VLS tube section carries 6 cruise missiles (where medium or long range SAM missiles are not possible for the reasons below)

- This corvette does not carry air search radar long range

- This corvette only carries a surface search and navigation Radar, then another one (but this is very dubious) carries the possibility of a fire control radar which has a very small form factor (even the Tor radar and fire control is much larger or even this is about 4 times smaller from the Mark 92 fire control radar)

The purpose of making this catamaran corvette is not Obviously, its functions seem to overlap, the corvette is too forced to act like a destroyer, thus resulting in inefficient and losing its main function. With this shape, the Shahid Soleimani corvette will be easily destroyed by missiles, fighter planes, drones or even helicopters in the US Navy's MH-60 R class - IRGC-N and Iranian Navy experts have the same level of expertise. With the doctrine of war currently used by the Iranian navy / IRGC-N, it is enough with only one US aircraft carrier to destroy all of Iran's "SURFACE" warship fleet.
When you place yourself as the so called "expert" in naval weapons..do some research before writing your brain farts...it is obvious you did not do your homework and just jumped in and made a fool of yourself...my advice..get lost who ever you are..Iran is doing just fine ..

They are neither wahabi or otherwise. The rulers of Saudi are despised by the a lot of the salafis and najdi wahabis. The Indonesians are liberals following the same order as what India, Phillipines, Japan and SK follow.

The issue is you need a missile that is converted to sub launch design. It’s not as easy as slapping some VLS cells on top of a submarine and calling it a day. None of Iran’s current missiles are truly suited for sub launch, possibly modifying a missile from the Fatah family or shorter range Fath (?) family could work.

SLBMs are short in height and large in diameter in order to be able to fit inside the launch cell of a submarine. Iran’s BMs are opposite.

Supposedly the newest Israeli Dolphin II submarine has VLS. Dolphin II could roughly be compared to Besat in terms of tonnage.

What non VLS Dolphin II’s do is have larger torpedo tubes to be able to launch the Popeye CM or Tomahawk. That is another route available for armament if Iran forgoes the VLS route.

Since IRGC is typically PG restricted, big submarines are not suited for these waters as depth is too shallow. Even when US nuclear submarine sailed thru PG it sailed at the surface due to lack of depth.

In any case, i have rarely seen something positive from this country. Not an important country at all.

Literally not a single thing here is correct

All 5 RWS can serve as CIWS (infact the 4 Asefeh can serve as dedicated ones)

Nothing wrong with cold launched VLS, but it's more likely it uses hot launch considering Iran's current SAMs

Very doubtful it uses Dezful (Tor copy). I actually think those 16 cells are for new VL missile we saw with Tactical Sayyad, & maybe Navvab 20km SHORADs can be quad packed. 150km SAMs are officially confirmed

All radars probably not installed during launch, which has happened with previous ships (like Dena)

It has 4 Qadir (over 300km), not 4 Qader (200km)

There's plenty of space between helipad & AShMs, very doubtful it will damage the helo. Also there's a ton of aluminum vessels with anti ship missiles, it won't damage the ship lol

Despite size & tonnage, it fills role of corvette like Chinese Tuo Chiang class
