پیش از این تل‌آویو آمادگی خود را برای عضویت در ائتلاف نظامی آمریکا برای آن‌چه تامین امنیت کشتیرانی در خلیج‌فارس خوانده می‌شود، اعلام کرده بود.
یسرائیل کاتز، وزیر امور خارجه اسرائیل در روز ۷ اوت (۱۶ مرداد) در نشست کمیسیون امنیت ملی و سیاست خارجی پارلمان این کشور گفته بود: «تل‌آویو بخشی از ائتلاف نظامی به رهبری آمریکا در برابر تهدیدهای ایران در تامین امنیت کشتیرانی در خلیج (فارس) خواهد بود.»

I'm sure Iran will. But the ship is released despite US attempt. They may now ask another ally to seize it though.

The warrant says the vessel, all the oil aboard and $995,000 are subject to forfeiture based on violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), and bank fraud, money laundering, and terrorism forfeiture statutes

The problem was that the Grace 1 needs some repairs before it could leave... So it was vulnerable to this.

Regardless, they can acquire the ship through the warrant. Iran needs to respond and elevate the.cost.otherwise this be a precedent to capture other Iranian Ships.

Like I said earlier, Iran should have escorted this ship with a Mowj frigate, instead of keeping those frigates sitting in harbor in a iran doing nothing.

No one would seize the ship if they the knew Iranian warship was accompanying it.

I agree but I don't think we can provide coverage for all our ships. We need a few Mowj 1 ships in Syrian port permanently.

Iran Unveils Homegrown Advanced Laser Cannons

Iran has come into possession of advanced laser cannons which are used to protect the country’s vital centers, a deputy defense minister said.



General Shahrokh Shahram said Tehran has obtained the technical know-how to manufacture and utilize advanced cannons using high-power laser beams.

“Laser is being used in artillery systems for two purposes, and could help increase the volume of fire, mobility and precision,” he said.

According to the general, Iranian military forces are currently employing laser technology in preparing artillery systems, launching artillery ammunition, and in radars, which would accurately detect, track and hit the hostile targets.

Shahram also noted that Iran has developed homegrown weapons with the laser technology.

The Iranian military forces are in possession of laser-powered weapons that could annihilate stealth aircraft, the military official said, adding that high-power laser beams can damage the composite layers that make a flying object stealth and light and extend its flight endurance.

Iran is using the laser systems to protect its critical and vital centers, he further said, stressing that Iranian military experts are on the cutting edge of laser technology.

In March, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri said the Navy has developed a weapon to beat the American anti-drone laser weapon system.

In August 2018, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei urged efforts to boost technologies for manufacturing military components and update training programs.
