Since we are looking at ideas of central bankers let's take a look at part of Mr Ben Bernanke's responses to question of "If you could do it differently(about 2008 financial crisis ), what would you change ?"

Mr Ben Bernanke(former chairman of the federal reserve and current Nobel prize winner :) ) :
You know, going back, obviously we saw .. people say how could you not see the housing bubble ?well we saw the house prices were very high relative to rents we understood that part.I think our hope was that, that would correct in a more gradual way over time. and ..... (5:20 - 5:40)

An Iranian friend in Germany told me the 2008 financial crisis wasn't really solved - they just printed more money and staved off a collapse but inflation soared and everything because more expensive overnight. Now that there's no more cheap russian gas, things have gotten worse x10.

Great move by Iranian Economics planners
Iran to spend $35 billion in 5 years on Petrochemical developments.

  • Iran's next 5 year National Development Plan (2022-2026), will see $35 billion of investment is in the country’s petrochemical industry.
  • For every one dollar of investment in this industry, eight dollars of profit has been made
  • Petrochemical exports already constitute nearly 33 percent of the country’s non-oil exports.
  • Domestic equipment, licenses, and technological knowledge have been used in most of the projects in this industry.

Increase in production facilities to supply more for international market?

This is actual data obtained from existing Petrochemical plants..an 800% return for an investoro_O..no other business (with exception of Narco business!!) can generate such a huge payback...

Oof. Sounds awesome. So we can expect a $280 billion return from investing eight times less?!

if you spend that $35 billion in 5 years time span you will be looking at profits of more that $ 400 billion made. If I were in Iran I will definitely put my money on these PetroChem plants.....Remember the feed for petrochemical plants is "Natural Gas" and that feed is given to the plants at discounted prices because Iran sits on top of World largest Gas deposits in the world.:p:

Russia wants to cooperate with Iran on gas turbines

MOSCOW, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Russian companies are interested in cooperating with Iran on gas turbine technology and joint production, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said in a statement on Tuesday.

Russia has been trying to start producing its own gas turbines of medium or large capacity for years, but is yet to fine tune the process. The need to have its own production has become more acute since the start of what Moscow calls its special military operation in Ukraine in February.

Siemens Energy and some other foreign companies, whose turbines were used to built modern gas power plants in Russia, are withdrawing from the Russian market or have suspended operations, making it difficult for Moscow to service these plants.

"There is large potential for cooperation in this," Shulginov told a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Ali Akbar Mehrabian.

Moscow has been pushing for closer ties with Tehran amid Western sanctions and pressure over Russia's operation in Ukraine. Iran wants deeper cooperation with Russia in the energy, transportation and agriculture sectors.
