If Iran could fight a war with a militarily stronger country for 8 years, think about what it can do to your country.

What has "strategic importance" to do with it? Azerbaijan will pay and buy the missiles. He said that the negotiatians are almost complete.

But you can't see any significant feature on that tank. Only some old wind-sensor device.

Israel is in another league in terms of power projection. Even then, war is a messy affair. The recent example of Hezbollah proved this.

Also, Israel does not shares any borders with Iran. We are talking about Azerbaijan here. What options does it have?

jezuuuz effing buddah! Iran is a country of 80 million people with a mandetory military service policy!!! You can practically call up 10 million people for a war! Azarbaijan shares a land border with us and it doesn't even have that many people in total!

we practically don't have any contact with each other and neither party give a **** about the other party. But in a war scenario, I don't see how a country of less than 10m is going to stop a country of 80 million when they share borders. This whole my tank has this bling, yours doesn't is extremely hillarious. Use your damn heads people.

It has been interesting reading the comments thus far. Even more interesting is the opinion that the Iranian military can easily be destroyed by Turkey/Azerbaijan. Iran has a sizable military with decent equipment, although to be fair much of their equipment is a bit old; however, good during its hay day. F-14's, Mig-29's, Mirages, and F-5's are nothing to sneeze at and most likely have some minor upgrades by now. I would also say that Iran has some decent if not good pilots.

Realistically the Turkish military is more modern, with that said it would have a favorable advantage but many people forget that strategy, deception, and training is what really counts. If we take Israel for example we will see that the Mirages they flew were inferior to the Mig-21's they faced but the better training ensured that the Israeli pilots came out on top. Much of Israel's success was also do to intelligence from spies and cunning generals, Israel was often able to attack the Arabs when they were at their most vulnerable. Realistically you can arm Israel with outdated military technology and they would likely defeat almost any modern military in the region.

@ptlM3: I don't even take them seriously. There are a lot that can be said on this topic but when the atmosphere is like children fighting each other I prefer not take the discussion seriously. If AQS-1918 shows that he's interested in discussing the issue in a constructive atmosphere from military aspects than I'm ready. Iran has advanced radars, It has advanced missiles and some of them like the Russian cruise missile Kh-55 and possibly Iran's Shahab-3 have the ability to carry nuclear warheads, It has a stronger navy that can outclass Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea, It has stronger ground forces because they're better trained and they've the experience of a bloody 8 year war with Iraq, It has a lot of other advantages over Azerbaijan that we can talk about them in details.

I believe most people don't know how mighty Iraq was backing 1980's. Iraq had one of the world's largest and strongest ground forces at that time and it received extensive support both from the Soviet Union and the USA. Iran on the other hand had dissolved its Army in fear of a coup against the newly established regime and the USA and the UK who were our main weapon suppliers at the time refused to help us in maintenance of our forces but yet Iran fought Iraq for 8 years and after the 3rd year when Iran had liberated Khorramshahr Iran was in offensive mood and even occupied Iraqi territory too.
