Iran says soldier shot dead by Azeri border guard

What "yea yea"?

AzerNews - Azerbaijan seeks Chinese long-range missiles: official | Nation

Azerbaijan has around 400 T-72s, not 100+. Your T-72s are no way a match to the Israeli upgrade. Please post the pic and lets see. Also, Azerbaijan is negotiating with Ukraine on Oplot-M MBT.

"ROFL", "good joke" bla bla, you can not even discuss properly.

the third link isn't credible. long range missiles aren't riffles to be sold in large numbers to another state. unless the two countries are strategic military allies and that is not true about Azerbaijan and China.

About your T72S's this is what I see on wikipedia: T-72 operators and variants - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Azerbaijan – 180 T-72A en T-72B in 2003.[2]

It doesn't even mention T72S's. but I'd like to see your source for your claim that Azerbaijan has around 400 Israeli upgraded T72S's.
The thing that you say Russian upgraded T72S's are no way a match to the Israeli upgrade is interesting to me. Russians have designed the tank while Israel isn't an operator of T72S's, how you are so sure about the quality of the Israeli upgrades? you think upgrading a main battle tank like T72S is like pimping a sporty car? It's just like Iran claims that Russians have upgraded her F14's.

If you're really insisting on what you're saying, why don't we open a thread about comparing Iran's armed forces (even excluding the IRGC and Basij) with the armed forces of the republic of Azerbaijan? maybe we should let others judge on this matter to prevent our patriotism effecting our discussion? maybe there are things about the mighty Azerbaijani forces that I don't know and must learn it in a healthy and rational discussion?

That is the best you can come up with?

EXTRA, look at its specifications. Go make Scud copies and think you are a superpower.

I pretty sure the leadership of iran is not stupid and will not do something silly like attacking another country over one border guard being killed.

We can find diplomatic and non-military solutions to it rather than the military option.

Bravo......at least someones using there head.

@ASQ-1918:
as I said, you should open a separate thread for it. I'm ready to participate. the thing that you say missiles like Sajjil-2 are copies of Scud missiles shows how you have 0 knowledge of missile technology.

I checked the link you sent on here. I translated it and from the context it says that even the negotiations haven't been completed yet. lol think as you wish, but China isn't going to sell you 'long range' missiles, and even if it does, the number will be limited to <50. You are of no strategic importance to China that it wants to sell you long range missiles.

You haven't shown me any reputable sources claiming that Azerbaijan has 400 Israeli upgraded 72S's yet.

open a thread please. It's becoming interesting.

I love the Iran-Armenia relationship because it goes on a public level as well rather then just political.

Despite most islamic peoples preferring to support other muslim countrys least on this forum anyway and Armenia being a Christian state they still hold each other in high regard.

Of course Iran's leadership is not that stupid to start a war for that. Saddam invaded Kuwait within few days but we all know what happened to Iraq after that. and Kuwait used one of the most modern and up to date weaponry in the world at that time. I don't know why Azerbaijanis are so hot-headed in a stupid ultra-nationalistic way.

I'm personally agnostic or even atheist. Armenia is a country that respects her ties with her neighbors. They don't provoke others and their leaders don't talk about 'Greater Armenia' and they know perfectly well how to defend the nation from aggressive Azerbaijan who publicly threatens them with war over Karabakh.

I am not even muslim and and i never actually spoke to an armenian lol.

What has "strategic importance" to do with it? Azerbaijan will pay and buy the missiles. He said that the negotiatians are almost complete.

But you can't see any significant feature on that tank. Only some old wind-sensor device.

This is T-72 of Azerbaijan, externally you can see wind-sensor device, GPS navigation device and new gunner's sight.

They don't sell everything to any country. if it had nothing to do with strategic importance, then lots of countries in the world who were more economically prosperous than Azerbaijan would buy long-range ballistic missiles. if you tell me that Azerbaijan is in talks with China to buy tactical ballistic missiles for battlefield with a range of up to 250 kms I'll believe you doubtlessly. but when you tell me that China is selling Azerbaijan 'long-range' missiles everyone with a working brain would cast doubt on that claim. medium-range or long-range ballistic missiles are usually strategic weapons of a nation. Azerbaijan has no need to have missiles with a range over 2,000 kms and China will never sell such missiles to Azerbaijan at any price for obvious reasons. Azerbaijan has no unconventional capability that we say Azerbaijan needs to have IRBM's. China may sell Azerbaijan some tactical battlefield missiles with a range up to 300 kms in a limited number (less than 100). anything beyond that sounds unlikely to me, but we can wait and see what China sells to Azerbaijan at the end.

right now I'm going out, I need more time to find better pics from Iran's T72S's. I had seen better pictures from Iran's T72S's on Iranian military forums like Military.ir, The First Military Reference Site In Iran | but I have no access to see those pics any longer. so I'll have to search for them. anyways, if you insist that the Azerbaijani armed forces are stronger than Iran, just open a thread about comparing the two forces. and I'll participate in it too.
