Crude calculations on the value of the transporter petroleum:
Lets accept a fair price of 2 dollar per gallon which is the current US price. Now:
1.5 million barrel x 42 gallon/barrel x 2 dollar/gallon = 126 million dollar
Estimated production price is
1.5 million barrel gas x 4 production factor oil/gas x (4 dollar/barrel land drilling +6 dollar per barrel refining and shipping)= 60 million
Important factor here is while we use 4 times more oil to make gas, we also make other refined materials at the same time.
Net profit about 66 million.
If this continues once every two weeks which is the consumption in Venezuela: 136 million per month
This deal is better than selling 15 million barrels of oil to India. This is our peak export to India. Oil and gas are cheap now and we benefit from exporting refined products.
We benefited more from the sale to Venezuela than our peak export to India.
-Main profit is on tech transfer and infrastructure sale.

Sorry, but you are in no position to demand anything from us. Pakistan is not even a regional power like Iran, Turkey or Saudi Arabia to begin with. No offense though.
If Pakistan wants to improve her ties with Iran, then you'd better build your side of the pipeline that you have promised to build for years (nearly a decade) but don't dare to do so because you fear US sanctions. Pakistan has always succumbed to the US pressure even when it was against her economic interests. Hence, it cannot be a reliable economic partner. Not to mention that you have very strong ties with Saudi Arabia that naturally makes us cautious.
As for Turkey, Turkey is like the UAE for us. We have major differences with the UAE, but the UAE has always been one of our economic partners to do business with the Western world. Our economic ties with Turkey have little to do with Syria as they are based on mutual interests and our economic interests trump our political differences in the next 5 years at least.
As for Afghanistan, stability in Afghanistan is in our best interest as we prefer that 4 million Afghan refugees in Iran can finally go home. If that happens in future, our presence in Afghanistan will be much stronger than siding with a group that has a bad history behind it. Also, we are not interested in a new wave of illegal Afghan immigrants. The status quo in Afghanistan is okay for us and our focus is on our Western borders instead of our Eastern borders.

this is great just on moral terms. Iran is showing flag power, humuliating the US in their own backyard, and preventing one of the largest oil producing countries in the world from collapsing into american vulture hands. this itself is worth more then the help.
but looking at it financiall as well. there is going to be a VERY large market for advanced services and technology that bypasses American sanctions and financial institutes. Chinese and Russian companies are too vulnerable to American sanctions.... who does that leave?

Iran should make a real good example of engineering in Venezuela. Making them a regional hub. Otherwise, you know the consequences.

Iran plans monthly gasoline shipments to Venezuela: Report
Iran plans to follow its trailblazing shipment of fuel to sanctions-hit Venezuela with regular gasoline sales despite US threats to punish any facilitation of the cargoes, a report says.
Last month, Iran sternly warned the US to stay clear of its oil tankers as they set off for the Caribbean to deliver about 1.5 million barrels of gasoline to Venezuela which is under a virtual American economic siege.
On Saturday, an Iranian news agency said Iran’s naval forces had prepared to target US commercial vessels in the Persian Gulf in case American forces interfered with Venezuela-bound Iranian oil tankers.
"According to reports received by Noor News, after increasing military threats against Iranian vessels headed for Venezuela, an order was issued to Iran’s armed forces to identify and track several US merchant vessels in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman,” the agency said on its website.
"Options for reciprocal action were immediately identified and monitored for possible operations,” Noor News added.
US climbdown
Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)’s Aerospace Force Space Division has said the homegrown Noor satellite that was launched into space last month was used to track the oil tankers.
"In the Atlantic Ocean, where access to ships is normally more difficult, monitoring the position of the oil tankers and the situation in their surroundings was put on the agenda of the Noor satellite, and was accomplished,” Brigadier General Ali Jafarabadi said.
On the diplomatic front, Iran complained to the United Nations and summoned the Swiss ambassador in Tehran, who represents US interests in the Islamic Republic, over possible measures Washington could take against the Iranian tankers.
According to many observers, Iran’s determination forced a climbdown in threatened “measures” by the US which had reportedly dispatched warships and a patrol aircraft to the Atlantic Ocean to possibly confront the Iranian vessels.

However, both Venezuela and Iran are more than willing to cooperate in defiance of the US threats. According to the Washington Post, Venezuela and Iran have “just proved” that the Trump administration’s sanctions are failing.
"By showing that they were able to trade to mutual benefit", Iran and Venezuela “not only successfully circumvented US sanctions; they also scored public relations points in the process,” the paper wrote last month.
Thanks to Iran's bold move, the chink in the chain of the draconian sanctions is becoming visible.
On Monday, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said his country would sell gasoline to Venezuela if asked to do so. Lopez Obrador added he has not received such a request from the Venezuelan government.
Officials at Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s office have said Caracas plans to import more gasoline and additives from Iran.

The coronavirus pandemic has cut demand for gasoline, building up a glut which has been weighing on Iran’s storage capacity.
Venezuela’s thirst for gasoline, marked by hours-long lines at gas stations, has made the country an ideal new destination to unload part of Iran’s oversupply burden.
Venezuela sits on the world’s largest oil reserves. Its refineries also can produce more than 1.3 million barrels per day (bpd) of fuel, but they are working at less than 20% of their capacity mainly due to power outages and lack of spare parts amid the US sanctions.
Oil industry data provider TankerTrackers.com says an Iranian-flagged cargo ship is currently making its way toward Venezuela to help the fuel-starved country restart its mostly idled 1.3 million bpd refining network.

Iran has since April sent five tankers totalling about 1.5 million barrels to the leftist government of fuel-starved Venezuela, though the shipments have done little to alleviate hours-long lines at gas stations.
The Trump administration, which is seeking both to block Iran’s energy trade and bring down Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, has threatened reprisals and warned ports, shipping companies and insurers against facilitating the tankers.
But Tehran plans to keep up the shipments, according to five trading and industry sources close to the Oil Ministry.
Two of the sources said Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guards military unit, which answers to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were determining policy on Venezuela.
“This is a long-term strategic decision made by the state to expand influence,” said one Iranian trader familiar with the policy, likening it to Iran’s cargoes for Syria.
Requests for comment from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Oil Ministry, and from Venezuela’s state oil company PDVSA, Oil Ministry and Information Ministry, were not answered.
A State Department spokesman said the United States would not tolerate “meddling” or sanction-breaking to support Venezuela, but did not specify what actions could be taken.
“The international business community should already be aware of the legal risk of any transactions with the illegitimate and tyrannical regime of Nicolas Maduro,” he said.
“It is no surprise that the deeply corrupt and oppressive Iranian regime would find a kindred spirit with Maduro’s brutal kleptocracy.”
A net gasoline importer for decades, Iran announced self-sufficiency last year with the third phase of its newly-constructed 350,000 barrels per day (bpd) Persian Gulf Star refinery in the port of Bandar Abbas.

Even before the virus, oversupply had reached 84,000 bpd of gasoline in the last quarter of 2019, but it soared to 172,000 in the first three months of this year, according to FGE.
‘VENEZUELA ONLY VIABLE OPTION’
With insufficient storage capacity, Iran was unprepared for the glut, the trading and industry sources said, meaning Maduro’s appeal for help fell on ready ears.
“Iran’s gasoline oversupply equals 15 to 20 medium cargoes every month. Iran exports only five cargoes a month to Asia and Africa. So Venezuela is the only viable option,” said one of the sources. They all asked not to be named due to the sensitivity of the subject.
Iran is also helping the fuel-starved South American country restart its mostly idled 1.3 million bpd refining network. An Iranian-flagged cargo ship is currently making its way toward Venezuela, according to an analysis of the vessel’s trajectory by oil industry data provider TankerTrackers.com, which added it was carrying refining equipment.

Though the political solidarity is evident, with Maduro due to visit Tehran soon to “thank the people”, Reuters has not been able to establish the financial details of Iran’s trade with Venezuela.
The deal could, however, help Iran stem potential losses at the production end from storage reaching capacity, according to the head of one oil products trading firm in Tehran.
“For every single day that a refinery is shut down, the loss will be far greater than exporting cheap gasoline to Venezuela,” he said.
Tehran has not been hiding its trade with Caracas.
Unlike most Iranian tankers that turn off transponders for shipments skirting U.S. sanctions, the five ships delivering to Venezuela kept their automatic identification system (AIS) on.

Top Commander: Captains, Crew of Iranian Tankers to Venezuela Threatened by US
TEHRAN (FNA)- Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said that the US had attempted to bribe and then threaten the captains and crew of the 5 Iranian oil tankers which carried fuel to Venezuela to dissuade them from the mission, but to no avail.
"General Baqeri said that while the Iranian tankers were being sent to Venezuela, the US first tried to bribe and then threaten the captain and command crew of these ships but did not succeed," member of the Iranian parliament's Presiding Board Alireza Salimi quoted General Baqeri as saying in a closed-door session with the lawmakers in Tehran on Tuesday.
According to the senior MP, Iran's top commander also added that a number of US warships were attempting to stir tensions by threats in the Atlantic Sea but the Iranian vessels thwarted their plot by managing the conditions.
Iran sent five tankers loaded with 1.53 million barrels of gasoline and alkylate to Venezuela last month to help jump start the oil refineries in the Latin American state amid a fuel crisis.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro appreciated Iran, China, Russia and Ciba for their assistance to Caracas, describing them as the real friends of his country.
"Humanitarian aid is coming from China, Russia, Iran and Cuba. They are (Venezuela’s) true friends," Maduro said in a speech broadcast by the state TV.
He recalled that the US was offering $20 million worth of help, "but not a single dollar came through".
Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani noted that the return of his country’s fuel tankers from Venezuela, and said the fools who were after besieging Tehran now feel overpowered by Tehran.
“Iranian tankers, having accomplished their mission successfully, are coming back to the country. This means that the strategy of active resistance has been efficient and the idiots who were seeking to lay siege on us, have now been trapped in the siege stemming from Iran’s might,” Shamkhani wrote in his Twitter account.
“Trump and Hook's begging for negotiation testifies to this very claim,” the top security official said.
The five Iranian tankers left Venezuela towards Iran earlier this month.
Iran’s fuel supply to Venezuela has sharply irked the US as the oil sectors of both countries are subject to draconian American sanctions.
A US official said last month that President Donald Trump’s administration was considering responses, prompting Tehran to warn of retaliatory measures if Washington causes any problem for the tankers.
In response, President Rouhani said his country is always entitled to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and warned that if his country's oil tankers in the Caribbean or anywhere in the world get into trouble by the Americans, Tehran will definitely retaliate.
“Although some of the US measures have created unacceptable conditions in different parts of the world, we will not be the initiator of tension and clash,” Rouhani said in a phone call with the Qatari Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani last month.
Referring to the American moves in the Caribbean, he reiterated, “If our oil tankers face problems in the Caribbean Sea or anywhere in the world by the Americans, they will face problems reciprocally.”
We see the conditions today more apt for cooperation, especially given the outbreak of this disease; but the US continues its incorrect decisions and inhumane behaviors, the president noted.
He made it clear, “As before, we stress that the security of our region, particularly the marine security, is maintained by the regional countries and we have always announced that we are ready for cooperation with the neighboring countries."
Earlier this month, Caracas announced that the fuel-hungry Latin American country is mulling imports of more gasoline and other oil products from Iran.
The announcement came after Venezuela received five shipments of fuel from Iran in the face of US sanctions.
“Tehran yesterday offered to supply Venezuela with more gasoline and refinery additives. President Maduro very likely will accept the offer because we need the fuel,” an official at Maduro’s office was quoted by price reporting agency Argus Media.
Other officials said the government will ask Iran for further supplies in coming weeks to give state-run oil company PDVSA more time to revive part of its refining capacity.
Maduro said he would visit Iran once health conditions resulting from the new coronavirus outbreak permit in order to thank the Iranian government and sign a “high-level bilateral agreement strengthening energy, financial and military ties”.
“I am obliged to go to personally thank the people,” Maduro said in a state television address, without providing a date for the visit.

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - An Iranian cargo ship is expected to dock in Venezuela soon, an arrival that comes shortly after Tehran sent five tankers loaded with gasoline to relieve its fuel-starved South American ally, a report said.
The Golsan's journey signals a blossoming relationship between the two nations in defiance of stiff financial sanctions by the Trump administration against each of them.
Russ Dallen, head of the Miami-based investment firm Caracas Capital Markets, said he believes "that it is carrying parts to continue repairing Venezuela’s collapsed refineries.”
The Golsan approached Caribbean waters Friday following a high-seas journey from Iran. It could reach a Venezuelan port by Sunday or Monday, said Dallen, based on tracking technology, AP reported.
Venezuela holds the world's largest oil reserves, and critics of President Nicolas Maduro point to the nation's reliance on Iran for gasoline as an example of the socialist government's failure.
The US seeks to oust Maduro, backing his political rival Juan Guaidó.
Maduro blames many of the problems on US sanctions and other measures to undermine his rule. He says the US wants to install a puppet government so it can exploit Venezuela's vast resources.
Former National Security Adviser John Bolton writes in a book set to be published on Tuesday that Trump had insisted on military options against the South American nation, because “it’s really part of the United States.”
However, Maduro remains in power, and deep gasoline shortages that recently hit the capital of Caracas have eased since the Iranian tankers delivered fuel.
With Iran's recent technical help, Venezuela has also managed to get the Paraguana Refinery Complex, one of the largest in the world, partially working and producing gasoline, Dallen said.
