Iran has "problems" exporting its oil, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad admitted on Tuesday, but he said his government was determined to overcome that and other challenges posed by Western economic sanctions.
"There are some problems in selling oil and we are trying to manage it," he said in an interview broadcast live on state television.
Ahmadinejad accused "the enemy" of using "psychological warfare" against his country by imposing sanctions that have taken a toll on the economy.
His admission capped a recent change in tone from Iran's top leaders, who for months had denied the sanctions were having an effect.
Some lower-ranking officials were maintaining the previous message, however.
On Monday, Iran's representative to the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Mohammad Ali Khatibi, told ISNA news agency crude exports were "almost normal" and dismissed reports saying otherwise.
OPEC, though, in its latest monthly report noted Iranian oil production has slumped to its lowest point in more than two decades, to 2.8 million barrels per day.
The International Energy Agency in its most recent report said Iran was exporting one million barrels per day, less than half the amount Tehran said it had been exporting at the beginning of the year.
The United States and the European Union this year dramatically ramped up sanctions they started imposing on Iran in 2010 over its disputed nuclear programme.
The measures include an EU embargo on Iranian oil and US sanctions on financial transactions.
Ahmadinejad said the collective impact "is like war."
The sanctions are "blocking off conduits... like the conduits of selling oil, foreign exchange, our banks and the central bank," the president said.
He said that "we are working to bypass them day and night," for instance by telling "an oil ship which route it takes."
But, he explained, "most of the time when an obstacle is created, it takes a long time to remove it."
Ahmadinejad said he was confident Iran would weather the sanctions.
"We have oil and the world needs it," he said, adding that his government was also running a "very rigid budget."
Western nations, the United States at the fore, suspect Iran is developing a nuclear weapons breakout capability under cover of its civilian atomic energy programme.
Iran denies that.
"I insist that the Islamic Republic of Iran is never seeking nuclear weapons," its supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told a summit of non-aligned countries in Tehran last week.
He also insisted that Iran would not curb its pursuit of nuclear energy.
Khamenei has told the country to establish an "economy of resistance" to counter the sanctions, notably by boosting domestic production and self-reliance.
He and Ahmadinejad have urged Iran to wean itself off its reliance on crude oil exports, with Khamenei calling them a "trap" inherited from before the country's 1979 Islamic revolution.
In an opinion piece published by Fars news agency on Tuesday, Tehran's chief prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi said Iran's media should "refrain from painting a bleak picture and exaggerating the problems" in the country.
"Instead, (the media) should create an atmosphere of hope and joy to prove that they can become a major asset in defending the Islamic Revolution," he wrote.

Sorry, if my words hurt anyone. But we have been hearing that the Siastan will become a province of Pakistan once its being freed from IRAN with the war that can be started by NATO in coming years and will break IRAN in to its provinces.
Can any one of be able to tell us how many provinces are there in IRAN with some MAP/Satellite Pictures?

Iran cuts oil exports to European countries ahead of nuclear talks

Iran has announced it will cut oil exports to Spain after stopping export to Greece, and may halt sales to Germany and Italy, just days before Tehran takes part in crucial talks over its nuclear activities.

As the second largest producer in OPEC, Iran exports some 80 billion US dollars of oil per year, among which about 18 percent are to the EU market. The cuts are counter-sanctions to a move early this year by the EU, which imposed a total ban on purchasing Iranian crude, to be implemented in July.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday, that Iran can manage its economy even without such crude exports.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, "The volume of our gold and foreign exchange reserves are so high that it’s unprecedented throughout history. They want to impose embargo on our oil exports. We have as much hard currency as we need and the country will manage well, even if we don’t sell a single barrel of oil for two or three years and the enemies’ dreams would never come true."

Cannot say but one thing is for sure, if ever Baluchistan of Pakistan gets separated, there is a big possibility that Sistan-Balauchistan of Iran and some parts of southern states of Afghansitan will also join the one separated from Pakistan.

Iran on the verge of severe financial crisis: intelligence report

An apparent classified Iranian intelligence report that has been leaked online warns of an imminent financial crisis in the country that would cause nation-wide upheaval.

Excerpts of the report, posted this week on several Iranian websites, revealed that the government might not be able to pay the full salaries of its employees in the coming three months, which threatens the eruption of massive popular protests across the country.

Large portions of the population might suffer from starvation, the report said, adding that riots are expected to take place in border cities where living conditions are rapidly deteriorating.

According to the report, Iran’s reserve of foreign currency might run out within the coming six month owing to extreme budget deficiency.

Other official reports have stated that Iranian factories are working on only half their capacity, and that a large number of them have declared bankruptcy.

Under international sanctions, inflation in the country has reached 33 percent and prices of meat, chicken, and milk saw an unprecedented hike that reached 80 percent last year.

The European embargo on the purchase of Iranian oil is costing the country an estimated $133 million in daily revenues, and the Iranian riyal has also witnessed an unprecedented drop.

The governor of the Iranian Central Bank, Mahmoud Bahmani, has announced a raising the official rate of the riyal against the dollar over the next 10 days in order to deal with the “international developments.”

But according to Iranian bankers, the official rate – 12,260 riyals to the dollar -- was only a reference. There was a wide gap between the official and actual rates, which reportedly increased the prevalence of corruption within the Iranian government, since purchasing dollars with the official rates has become extremely profitable.

So say INSHA ALLAH Saistan will be a part of Pakistan in 2015 or before.

We all know that US will make it into pieces. From out of seven Provinces one will be of Pakistan, other will be of Afghanistan, some for IRAQ and the rest might be a separate 3 to 4 states.

Let us hope Pakistan's Balauchistan gets better and it does not reach the stage of getting separated from Pakistan and i wish for that as well.

What i was pointing out was that if it does gets separated then it will be bad news for both Iran and Afghanistan as they will lose parts of their territories as well.

Pakistan was formed by the Grace of Almighty ALLAH and it will remain as Pakistan. Although the fall of 1971 and other matter are of great importance but there are many other problem like from IRAN to Pakistan which are not taken to account like the target killings of SHIAs in Pakistan is due to IRANs policy to embrace some ethnic issues in Pakistan and Pakistan too feels that more over they have played very negative role in Afghanistan after the soviet war like giving SHIA people weapon there and letting them allow to produce Drugs and export them through their land which even the US is not willing to tell anyone.

We can suggest the its also in the US and NATOs interest that at least two or three provinces should be a part of Pakistan like Saistan, Hormuzgan and Kirman and the upper three in Afghanistan. The addaption of provinces in Pakistan will ensure that the people there would live a better life and the US will have clear passage in the Persion Gulf which they are looking into.

.
@Nishan, Pakistan herself faces serious threats of separation. From Baluch in the west to Pashtuns in the North. Also threat from India to reclaim all of Kashmir. So I doubt Pakistan will be expanding into any new lands, as you have enough trouble keeping the ones you have.

they can not even keep their own airbase safe from their own terrorist and now they are bulshiting about our sistan and baluchestan province.no problem give us and India the excuse to readd you to our soil and once again Iran and India will be neighbores too.

Your point about Hormuzgan is very interesting.

The province has eleven major cities, namely: Bandar Abbas, Bandar Lengeh, HajiAbbad, Minab, Qeshm, Jask, Bastak, Bandar Khamir, Parsian, Rudan, and Abumusa.

Greater Tunb and Lesser Tunb are two small islands administered by Iran as part of its province of Hormozgan,

The issue of the 3 UAE islands will be solved for good in the above scenario as they are currently part of Hormuzgan, Pakistan will surely either hand them over to UAE or UAE will let Pakistan keep it for a certain period initially (on lease) and probably might give it in the end to Pakistan (just like the Omani territory that Pakistan got from Oman). Anyway it will be mutually done in a very friendly way and both sides (UAE and Pakistan) will be happy. And also Pakistan getting Hormuzgan will result in Pakistan becoming a neighbor of 2 GCC countries (Oman and UAE) and getting direct access to Arabian Gulf as currently it has access to the Arabian sea only

Not to mention the strategic location of the Qishm and Kish islands which are also part of Hormuzgan.

You are 100% right and there are several indications which even the IRANIANs aren't talking about the separation. The Khurasan is the upper place of IRAN in which many people says that AFGHANs are governing in the name of IRAN and will get it easily and Pakistan is also planning or should plan a bigger Navy for that like:
21 3000-3300 Tons of Frigates(Multi Mission)
21 1700-2000 Tons of Corvettes(Multi Mission)
21 700+ Tons of FACs(Multi Mission)
7-11 11000 Tons of Naval Tankers
21 2100 Tons of SSKs(AIP based)
7 1100 Tons of Mine Hunters
7 1100 Tons of SUTS
11 Y-9 MPAs
7 CN-295 MPAs
4 CN-295 Transport of SSGNs & Marines
3-5 ZDK-03 AEW&Cs
70 Fighter Aircraft (35+35 JF-17s Block-II and IIIs)
** Nos. of UCAVs & UAVs
