I do apologize, my knowledge on these thing is very limited i merely just like to see new military equipment being unveiled, but i neither know alot about them or want them to be used against anyone.

And I solute you for being honest sir. you have gained my respect. And also gained more respect by seeing that peace is the only way to solve conflicts and these military wars end up with everyone being the loser as the korean war and the Iran-Iraq war unveild. Hell even the USA's military ways are destroying it.

Ballistic missiles do not work against surface warships unless they have a few meter accuracy and even then it wont hit if the surface warships are moving.

Unless the BM is nuclear tipped.

in theory even a bullet can destory a fighter jet whilst flying, so tell me what wrong about using a BM against a ship.
have you not heard of anti-ship ballastic missile for example?

2- its expensive. i don't know about Iran, but most countries in the world cannot afford to fire a 8 million dollar missile(price based on Indian missiles) at a target with no guarantee of hitting the same.

what will the armada of ships and submarines do to prevent a ballistic missile falling from the sky towards carrier at supersonic speed??and what if they fired 10,15 of them simultaneously....most sophisticated of anti-missile technology would shyt within and jam under such scenario

Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense, my friend.

The USN destroyers are equipped with ABMD systems.

Also, ships are not stationed very close to each other during the time of hostilities. They work in spread out formation. And they are on the move.

Ballistic Missiles with conventional warheads are not good options against moving naval targets. Cruise missiles are much better for this role.

The Aegis is designed for exactly this kind of missile and I am sorry but it is not advanced enough.

The number of missiles the system can handle is classified I think. But I am pretty sure it is atleast more than 10 at least. The carrier protection is like a sea fortress. And each year they hold a couple of maneuvers to test its protection so it keeps updating. But no system is perfect great leaders of the past faced even harder obstacles and they came out on top.
