Iran Army gains capability to intercept, redirect enemy missiles;)

The commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base says the Iranian Army has achieved the capability to intercept and deflect enemy missiles away from their targets.

"Any missile will be destroyed or re-routed before reaching Iran, and will hit a target of our choosing," Fars news agency quoted Brigadier General Farzad Esmaeili as saying on Monday.

These systems will carry out their tasks whenever a threat is posed, Esmaeili added.

In recent years, Iran has made major breakthroughs in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in important military equipment and systems.

Commenting on a bid by members of the [Persian] Gulf Cooperation Council along with the US to deploy a missile system in the Persian Gulf, the Iranian commander said the countries resorting to such means certainly perceive a weakness in their defenses.

In March, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton held talks in Saudi Arabia about a plan for a Persian Gulf missile system to counter what she described as potential threats from Iran.

This is while Iran has announced time and again that “deterrence” lies at the heart of its defense doctrine, and that its military might poses no threats to other countries.

there is just one question for me and some of my friend of Iran military forum, that: Iran can intercept and indirect them with their current protocols or Iran made a smart anti missile system that can decode hack all kind of missiles .
if it be the second one so WTF! and a nice move for iran.

. .
again they start...
many members have no infromation in any military field but they just say meaningless things!

iajdani you seems to be a general?! lol! what do you know from iran?! you better close your mouse when you have no new infromation about something.!

i am asking questions with logic you say about sci fi movies! يكي بهش بگه اصلاح كنه
خيلي از اين كره خرا بدم مياد، فقط چرت ميگند!

. .
Another bogus claim in hope that the world will fear the might of the Iranian Army.

Even the most developed countries have problems building anti-missiles systems, and here we have a country that claims to redirect enemy missiles to the target of their liking. Too much BS.

. .
we have 2 kind of missles: 1- kinds that move with math and can not be controled from other places, this kind can be just jammed or destroyed to stop them 2- missiles that can be controlled, this kind of missiles have an operation system , so if you can decode the signals that control the missiles with the OS you can hack into them.
but it's not easy! it need's a program that detect the signals, decode them with different algorithms (the most important part) then sending jamming waves , and at last sending our own signals to the missiles. this program must be smart to combine diffrent algorithms and check all of them in less than 1-2 minutes to detect the algorithm. Hacked.

It will take days just to detect the algorithm, that too on a super computer. Once algorithms are decyphered, you can hack missiles within seconds. But that comes later, you need to get your hands on working US radar, with a working missile, and then advanced scientists and equipment to study it.

Just not possible in Iran.

Iran is going into a era of Sci Fi movies.. Too much Matrix going on there...

I heard about this Iranian tech a year ago, and also took these news with a grain of salt, but then RQ-170 happened. :azn: Now I'm more open about such possibility, jamming or misdirecting UAVs and missiles is probably doable, by Iran no less.

.
Gaining capability to intercept missiles possible... but redirecting enemy missiles tech is not possible in Iran till now IMO.

"Any missile will be destroyed or re-routed before reaching Iran, and will hit a target of our choosing"

Now it`s a bit too ambitious announcement by any country ...

Any expert on missiles & radars`ll shed light on it please..

The same Might of Iranian Army brought down RQ-170 on ground without even harming it a little. Non of any other country have done this. ... What an embarrassing BS, isn't it?
