these kind of tube and a ball on top - all with holes is prevalent but i fail to understand how to water them and how will the soil retain water

Uncle....the ball on top might make it difficult but usually, the top is left open for ease of watering

ive bought 50 different climbers and planted all of them 3 months back... red,purple yellow white pink orange etc

planted ivy along with the climbers outside

planted peach blossom [pink] and amal-tas tree [yellow] in front [ front already had 2 other trees [purply, green] ] planted another tree e [white] flowers dont remember the name

Ahh those type...i mistook it for the simple project I saw on youtube...Just a pipe with some soil and holes...

Well even pots in it ...they will have holes at the back and you can pour water from the top, water would accumulate in the pipe- ish structure and the plants will get it...

When we have our pots in the greenhouse, depending how you water them, some people water the table - pots have holes so the soil absorbs....i hope you get the drift
