I was reading this article in Yahoo.com which is originally from Reuters.com,
Iran supplied weapons to Iraqi Kurds; Baghdad bomb kills 12 - Yahoo Maktoob News
I am not implying on the article itself, but what was really interesting for me was the comments made generally by US people, and how these guys view point for Iran is gradually changing through the time.
You know, comparing these days comments with the comments made not so long ago, you would rebuild your faith into this old saying that, "Human behavior is the most predictable unpredictable"
A couple of the comments:
Bill Binder • 1 day 7 hours ago Report AbuseHere is the sick irony: Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait bankrolled the Jihadists in the region and helped create ISIS (read 2009 Wikileaks on Hillary Clinton's memo recognizing this). Now that the blowback has taken place, we are scrambling to find allies and proxies. The first step is to tell the rich Sheiks to stop funding Jihadists- period. Step two is to enable regional foes of ISIS to assume the ground responsibilities with Western and Eastern help. Maybe this becomes the impetus to resolve the crazy and unnecessary disputes with Russia and Iran
Robert • 1 day 12 hours ago Report AbuseLet's see, how does this work again. . . the enemy of my enemy is the friend of my enemy . . . no that's not right. . .I have a friend that's my enemy. . . no that doesn't make any sense. . . my friend needs an enema. . . yeah that sounds better. . .my friend and my enemy walk into a bar. . .where they come upon a priest, a rabbi and the Ayatollah Khomeini. . .you expect more from Standard Oil, and you get it! . . .that's the punch line, now how does the rest of the joke go.
Shahin • 21 hours ago Report AbuseKurds (Medians) were the first people who established Iran. Iran is Iran becaz of kurds. Now there are many Idiots among 'em who think they have to separate some parts of Iran. (The provinces such as Kurdistan and Kermanshah in west of Iran). But it doesn't mean we iranians wanna see 'em suffer. wee gotta help 'em.
Barzani: plz don't be a fool, remember your father who used to say: Wherever there's a Kurd, It's Iran. I can't believe u r the son of that great man
James Hartle • 1 day 6 hours ago Report AbuseWe talked a big storm, but Iran gets arms to the Kurds. Great, someone is doing something, Iran will take an more active part. Expect the US to create a negative about this.
Expect ISIL to lanch an attack on Iran, Iran will not be nice.
Those troops the US trained in other countries, who are they fighting for besiode ISIL. Long list of rights issues to explore.
The US wants to take out Iran n the worst way, something like this could lead to a attack by the US. Mr O is #$%$ off about this. We really need Iran, the sanctions game has to end.
Ajax • 1 day 1 hour ago Report AbuseClearly Iran is the Middle East’s benefactor for weapons, funds and technical expertise. Iran's weapons are the catalyst for the size, scope and scale of this conflict, far beyond anything that has happened before. It's a recipe that Iran has perfected with Hezbollah in Lebanon, Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria and now in Iraq. Iran's tentacles extend far and wide and its weapons are shedding the blood of innocent civilians in conflicts all throughout the region. We're not likely to see any change in this pattern unless there is change in Iran.
Jack • 1 day 11 hours ago Report AbuseThe US could end one of the great errors made by the CIA and oil lobbies when they forcibly removed a popularly elected leader in Iran and installed a Shah with secret police. What a perfect opportunity to show the rest of the world what diplomacy can accomplish if the goals are nearly the same. Obama could meet with the Iranian leaders and recognize them just as Nixon, to his credit, flew to China. It would require a lot of courage. Sadly, no US leader would even dream of doing anything without the permission of Israel and the US AIPAC. A sad comment on our times.
Gary • 1 day 13 hours ago Report AbuseHow is this possible? Our propaganda machines have told us how evil and terrible Iran is and yet they are helping an ally of the United States? Does anyone notice how our 'media' never talks about how Iran was western friendly at one time? What changed? We helped overthrow their democratically elected Government. (Remember the propaganda about bring democracy to the Middle East and why Saddam needed to be removed??) And after we destroyed their Government we helped install a brutal dictator named the Shah who was responsible for using death squads. I don't understand why any country would hate America for doing that ???
--- If you don't like what I have said then look that facts up for yourself. It is all easily verifiable.
Keith • 1 day 10 hours ago Report AbuseIf Iran is supplying the anti-ISIS group...it's more proof Iran's arch rival, the Saudi's are behind ISIS. Remember: Saudi's crashed planes into our towers to rile us up, then the Saudi's donated land for our airbase so we could attack their arch rival IRAN. However, Iran is a big country, so we needed to surround them first. Pakistan and Turkmenistan took the cash, but we had to invade Iraq and Afghanistan to complete the envelope. Then Obama got elected and started pulling troops out, fortunately the Saudi's owned 7% of Fox News...enough to initiate bashing of Obama's policies. Earlier this year when Kerry started peace talks with Iran, the Saudi's FREAKED...they threatened to invade by themselves! Of course Iran would have kicked their butts and we would have to invade and come to their rescue. Now they have funded extremists to do the job that Cheney failed to do. (You'll notice Fox news now bashes Cheney.)
