Yes I did. It was a deep one. Unfortunately many religious establishments still disagree with Ibn Rushed taking the way of Imam Ghazali ''shoving down the throat''. Its that way or the highway if you know what I mean. Those establishment need to be dissolved by by the hook or by the crook.

Human history; prophets and all show us one thing
i.e that the greatest change were never brought about hook or crook.

The greatest change was brought upon by reason.

That is what God does in his books; that was what his prophets have done.
That is what Rushd wanted to do.

Let me give you an example " Dajjal will be the one, who will travel the world on a donkey; from whose tail smoke will emit "
That is a given prediction.

Now, in this day and age, if one is expecting a real donkey to act like a jet engine and circle the globe !
Well then sure Dajjal will be a big guy, blind in one eye and blah blah blah.

But if one is intelligent enough to get the symbolism used in the Hadith, then one must think harder to identify Dajjal.

I don't know man. I believe this new generation is it. All my scholars in Palestine when I lived there would mention this as well. Remember that the change we're expecting is going to come very un-expectendly.

We won't have a period of glorious days initiated by us anymore. This is the lowest point of the Muslim world. It can only change in the future.

I am all for Islamic philosophy. We do have it. But, what is this man trying to get to? Discovering unknown nature of God? Or studying what we know of him and trying to explain it in a human perspective?

Because, it is already established that God is mysterious in many ways. We can't do anything about it. Except expand on what we already have.

I read it, the guy is in prison and his voice of reciting Quraan is good. I get it. I thought of how badly Muslim countries treat Muslims from other countries. Western world is much more humane than us in this even on our own kind.

God has engineered our brains to respond to reason.
We are born with this capability.
It is upto the scholar to reach into our brain and cause that instinct to floruish.
