In short, the Pakistani embassy in SA didn't help or assist Pakistanis, particularly the poor people such as labourers, and instead even asked for bribes. The PM has requested a high-powered enquiry in to this and says he wants to make an example out of those involved.

Corruption. His staff was busy in taking bribes from Pakistani expats (poor labourer force here) for quick visa processing /passport stuff

That's what I guessed.
IK should appoint embassy who can replace other countries labor with Pakistanis, create more jobs opportunities, and brought back more foreign exchange.

KSA hire labor from other countries anyway, like Indians, why not hire more Pakistanis. It will be a big win win.

Good going! The way our south asian labourers are treated there in uae/Saudi Arabia /qatar, worse than slaves! , proper investigation and looking after them so they don't get exploited is need of the hour.

Look at this Filth everywhere in this so called country. Every government official is corrupt. They call themselves Muslims but their actions are worse then infidels. Hopefully an example is set. The bizarre thing is you can be living in Sweden or UAE where society is organized and corruption marginal, but as soon as you step into the Pakistani embassy its the wild west. If IK is serious about improving the tourism infrastructure of the country then embassies and consulates have to be fixed as they are the first point of interaction foreigners have with Pakistan.
