The project is developed by state owned consortium (PT Adhi Karya/Builder, PT LEN Industri (Electronics), PT INKA (Train maker), and PT KAI (Train operator) ).

"This is the end of the Trans Java Toll Road which is connected from the western end to the eastern end of Java Island. The Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road Concession Agreement (PPJT) has been implemented since 2017. Today we are starting again for those that are technically ready with an investment value of Rp10.7 trillion, namely the Probolinggo-Besuki section," said Basuki.

Other main route connecting edge of Western Java into eastern end of Java Island is using southern route. As this is not toll road so basically the road is free of charge and you can set aside if you want to stop over
