Indo-Pak No-War Pact:A Visit Manmohan must make

If Pakistan can not control these groups, which i kind of agree to, given the way Pakistan's erst while strategic assets are running amok within Pakistan, killing civilians and military men at will, India really does not have any incentives to do this pact and reduce pressure on Pakistan's eastern front..

That is actually the real reason they wanna do this.

Because they are at war in the west, and they dont have much forces in the east.

So they wanna sign a No war pact and then hold India to ransom.

Screw that.

. .
It, doesn't matter what Indian public thinks because there are people in upper echelons of Indian hierarchy who have other priorities. They want, to force Pakistan into submission [annexation is impossible]. Some folks in India want to turn Pakistan into a subservient, state which will not happen in a millennia. Indian F.policy is subversive, its strategic vision is divisive and subversive. [Create internal havoc and then arrive as a savior strategy]. The, day India pulls the plug off its agenda of establishing regional hegemony and carrying out well drafted tactics of subversion, we will start talking about a no war pact.

Well atleast we agree no war pact is utter bullshit in this present time.. Rest, no comments!!

.
Since India came into existence India has never attacked any country, India did nothing even after the ghastly attacks of 26\11, Even when Hindus were being butchered in BD India did not attack Pak. So its time Pakistan came out of its paranoia that India will attack them and take over its Lands.
It is not that India doesn't want Pakistan destroyed but India would not use means like war to destroy Pakistan instead it will let Islam finish off Pakistan.

Although this is an accusation, you still make Indian politicians look too good and make us look like Gods of strategy. :D

But this is mere paranoia from Pakistan's end. India is really doing nothing to Pakistan.

Some wanna be Pakistanis here think that Indian administration can not understand this basic fact.. They keep talking about how Manmohan is going to visit pakistan and hand over the keys to Delhi

Well its upto india if doesnt want to walk the path but then in future dont blame pakistan when taliban types start there jihad on india to free subcontinent of kafirs.

But anyway Pakistan can not control them.. So what's the benefit of a no war pact with Pakistan

The blame will always be on Pakistan. You cannot just run away from it.. It was you who started this in the first place..

Meh empty words.

They wont be able to do squat. They thrive on public support, like in west Pakistan, without it they are nothing. In India they wont get any.

Krait, I agree with we have to tackle lot of internal issues.but whats the point of signing a no war pact if we do not trust each other?? It will be a eye wash and free ride to some lunatics to do what ever they pleased to do..
Of course we can have No war pact or similar arrangement with Pakistan even if we don't trust each other. It doesn't mean we have to let our guard down and fall back on our chairs.

We can keep Pakistan investing heavily in its armed forces for years to come and keeping their eastern border busy, putting huge strain on their economy. But that comes at Indian price too. We have to invest relatively.

What you want, Pakistan centric India or more developing India ? Relative peace is must for our country as we are still in transition phase to become major power. We need economic boost for many years to come and for that we need silent borders.

If we want to look beyond 2020 and for that we need to keep peace till 2020 at least. Our priority is different at this time. We have 450 million poor people which we have to take out of poverty and spread education to keep regular supply of talented and skilled workforce which is must for attaining more power at global scale like China. Our focus should be on coming to a stage where countries become more forthcoming to us and for that we need to look beyond Pakistan.

Another thing is we need resources for our developing economy. Afghanistan and CARs are full of it. To get these resources we need stable relations with Pakistan even if we get those resources through Iran. Pakistan will keep to have considerable influence in Afghanistan for few years to come. Till we diversify our resource requirement to Africa and South America, we have to take these resources from the regions near Pakistan.

We have to think like businessmen not like emotional war-mongers. Its the only way to develop, only recipe to attain global standing.

Wise words to live by, indeed.

Then never expect respect for indian security forces. And the cry foul when you couldnt tolerate it and then go on begging spree for the respect for soldiers everywhere.
I don't beg. I simply point out what is wrong. BTW you did read the news about that Maoist and their way of recruitment. I think you will oppose that.

You can say whatever you like, I will make sure I make my opposition heard.

I am not a supporter of war..I do want a developed India but not in the cost of our countrymen's blood..Look at the last two major peace process gave us.. Kargil and Mumbai.. How can we achieve peace while these kind of incidents keep happening??

All that is fine bro.

But a no war pact wont change anything. All of those things you said about development have nothing to do with this pact.

Its better to maintain the same status quo, nothing will change. If they attack we will be successful. We are never gonna attack and they are never gonna be able to curb terrorism.

So what is the use of signing this deal? Hogwash and lipservice. Thats all it will be. Our relations wont improve unless and until Pakistan drops its claim to Kashmir, this is a given.

As for defence, cutting defence spending wont alleviate poverty, so whether or not this pact goes through, we should increase spending on defence. A lot. Poverty will only be alleviated with investments, education and job creation. Not by cutting defence spending. We are already spending too less.
