India's Rafale Deal

India could have bagged the deal for Rafael including terms on integration space for Astra, without having to buy missiles from France at extra cost .. Even at subsidised price... Increasing demand from UAE .. Successful deal with Egypt has mitigated the chance of France accepting the deal... US Iran deal which has finalised majority of high risk points is also a reason... I think...

I don't know if you know the current status. Asking the french to reduce per unit price, allow India to integrate other weapons into it (which is more work and costly), and then follow Offsetting laws to build in India.....the French officials negotiating have gone back to their government and told them this deal is a loss in terms of profitability and time. They'll ge penalized to be late but that's due to India's compliance needs for offsetting laws, plus they don't want to do more work for less money.
So as of this morning 8 AM Paris time, this deal has stalled. Let's see what comes out in the media in a couple of days!!

Let me remind few famous steps & claims involved in Rafale deal.

1: We just selected Rafale as winner of mother of all deals.:agree:
2: We will induct one squadron of Rafale from France. Remaining 100+ Rafales will be prepared by India under Make in India project.:agree:
3: India demanded more specifications along with TOT, as a result deal cost ballooned to several times of its initial cost!:disagree:
4: You will see we will Induct Rafales, France cannot lose billion dollar friend like us.:agree:
5: India offered Tejas to France as a compensation in price tag...... France rejected the offer in first glance...!:disagree:
6: Rafale is best. If can beat Raptor. We are demanding more advance systems that's why it is facing high cost issue and delays. But once 126 Rafales come in IAF we will rule the skies of Asia!!:agree:
7: Numbers of Rafales reduced to 36.:disagree:
8: We will buy 36 as initial need. We will induct more Sukhois and later buy more Rafales if necessary.:agree:
9: Several squadrons of Mig21,Mig 27 retired. IAF cannibalize!:disagree:
10: France has no chance in front of Modi.! We will get very first Rafales from France in fly away condition.:agree:
11: Egypt began to receive Rafales. After Egypt, UAE requirement came forward..... India still in waiting list.:disagree:
12: Now Rafale deal in limited numbers is also in trouble as it do not full fill the number requirements and facing further delays....:omghaha:

Bus kar paglay Rulaega kia :D
I "hope" that IAF will get Rafael and FGFA/AMCA before get j20 :P
in fact the continuous failures of Indian indigenous programs is pushing me to believe that IAF will again face too much delays.
Indian Army is not too different in this case how ever Navy is performing better than both.

This has nothing to do with the PAF.

Reality Check other then SU MKI what else you have, also we almost have 75+ f16Block 52 or MLUs ? and looking one more 4+ gen fighter? plus Thunder Block III.

if you continue this way after 2018 you might face the toughest time of your history, with quality and quantity...
69 Mig 29 UPG
+49 Mirage 2k5 Mk2
+45 Mig 29 K...
so where were we..

Thunder Alone is enough for them, did you think India Use them to Attack on Pakistan?Dumb if your Answer is yes just like Thunder is not designed to attack on Indian Lands.
Btw when did India Got Mirage2k5, they are just Mirage 2k with some recent updates.

I wish good luck to Indians. French did what any businessman will do for the sake of more money. hopefully the Indians will make every dollar worth. there was no special love between French and Pakistan
huh they didnt, a businessman who is clever makes money from both sides.

let's ditch rafale and order 60 F-18s and 60 SU-35MKI.
If we can spend almost 100 to 200 million for one single French fighter than we can also support 2 different type of platforms

Congratulations on all that, but how does that help feed half a billion hungry Indians?

India is highest Growth Rate in whole south Asia Even with those Problems india is One Of worlds Top ten destination For FDI.India have when of the Top ten Military Budgets in World.Have Fourth Largest Standing Armed Forces . A member of BRICS & G20

Child, Rationality Has a Virtue over Emotions. When A country which Has GDP Equals to the Single State of India Mocks over its Progress. Then Its Credential Always Comes to questions

Ahhh Its Hurting where I wanted :disagree::disagree:

reminds me of Chinese water torture. poor French, hehe
the three demands are incompatible to each other I mean asking for price reduction and then in the same breath demanding more features? lol
demanding 50% assembly in India and then demanding French to own the risk as well? double lol.
I said poor French before but in a way they price their products so excessively that I am kind of enjoying the Indian treatment they are getting.

If India had taken the decision within a year of announcing the MMRCA deal then by half of 126 aircraft would have been flying.

Yes France does price their goods way too much but they also don't water down their weapon systems unlike other countries. The Rafale they will sell would be the same quality as ones flying with their air force. So from that point of view the price is worth it.

The Rafale is a heck of a bird and I hope it gets inducted.

The ToT part and India demanding all product liability lying on the French, is the part i always highlighted in my posts here. Unfortunately, all the Indians members came up with their bullshyt how India has got France by the balls and how french don't have an option and bla bla. Seems like, all of those Think Tank Analysts need to hand in their titles for failing to see the reality.

Product liability was not he issue, France did not want to take product liability for aircraft manufactured in India using ToT. In simple words France did not trust Indian manufacturing.

And please do not generalise all Indians because of few trolls including those trolls who are Think Tank Analysts. A couple of Indian TTA are actually trolls who do nothing but parrot lies and half-truths, they will deliberately beat around the bush and refuse to accept reality.

You are not asking me to provide the data because you don't have it or don't know it, rather a typical delusional indian mindset to deny the obvious. there are a million authentic sources on the internet that you can find your self in minutes but anyways, I found some quick ones, now you need to find someone to read and explain them to you. Congratulations on all that, but how does that help feed half a billion hungry Indians?

This is a valid question indeed. How does this help to feed the hungry.

Lets stop the infrastructure projects, close down all educational institutions.use that money and first feed the hungry.

How does a thread about Rafale deal end up into a bickering contest about poverty and hunger? :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:

Both India and pakisan are poor 3rd world countries and if any key board commando thinks otherwise then he or she is badly mistaken. If you want to know what a developed, rich and first world country looks like then go to Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand etc.

The Germans, Americans and others must be laughing like crazy when they see Indians and pakistanis debating on which country is more poor.
