You should be asking the Army this question, its them who issue the requirements,DRDO develops based on the requirements
but cant owr DODOs make a Bullpup version MCIWS

it looks too bulki and its magzine position looks comical to say the least will be too advanced i dont think it will ever make to production we need something simpler yet effective like TevorThere is one ..... status unknown .
well not that much i think thats becuase of its ammo 5.56X39mm while most mini sub machine guns like Uzi or Mini Uzi or MP5 use 9mm cartridgerecoil is more in carbine??

Add agility, handling, light recoil, stable, extreme control to that merit list.
Add Britain, South Africa, South korea and last but not least Singaporean SAR 21 with best assault rifle on planet earth.

Dude, the picture you posted was a photo-shopped one and it was known to most people from the day one since the uploaded himself had stated it to be a fake.I'm actually surprised that you didn't know it.
gas /piston operated guns always have a higher recoil that rotating bolt handgunswhich one have more recoil? gas-operated rifles or carbains?
gas /piston operated guns always have a higher recoil that rotating bolt handguns
then why did many armys around the world prefer gas operated guns??
cause they are more simpler and easier to oprate and mantain+ have more stopping power while rotating boalts have less kick and better accuracy but are more difficult/complex to mentain & clean i guess russian have recentli made a cross between two but again its very complex to make and mentain hence a piston driven gas oprated bull pup rifle with a bigger lenth barrel fits like a T in owr doctroine as owr soldiers have to oprate in urban and close quater battle secnario and conventional long range snipping roles at the same time mostli with same wepon systemthen why did many armys around the world prefer gas operated guns??
well unlike you sir who had "experience with guns in NCC" i had in both NCC & real lifeDude, you expended that 'thanks' for no reason at all.Trust me when I tell ya,the guy you are talking to has got no idea about the subject matter.Heck he can't even tell the butt end from the business end of a fire arm!!
