The Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) a daily published in Sydney said in a report that while India’s 6000-tonne Arihant Nuclear submarine is all set for Induction into Indian Navy which will push India into Elite Countries who posses Nuclear Blastic missile Submarine clearly aimed at Countering China’s growing influence in Indian ocean Region, Bejing will be forced to respond to India’s New Submarine by adding Pakistan submarine program .

Arihant Nuclear submarine deployment would complete India’s nuclear triad, allowing it to deliver atomic weapons from land, sea and air. Only the US and Russia are considered full-fledged nuclear triad powers now, with China and India’s capabilities still largely untested.

While Both India and China espouse a no-first-use policy on nuclear arms but Arihant will also act as a deterrence against an outbreak of war by discouraging enemies from attacking. Ballistic-missile submarines are considered to have played such a deterrent role in the Cold War.

Pakistan for long has been trying to acquire weapons systems which will allow it to establish second strike capability against arch rivals India. It’s known fact that Pakistan can ill afford Nuclear submarines in its arsenal but China might provide its assistance in providing Conventional under sea capabilities which can deliver nuclear warheads.

Pakistan with China has finalized its long-negotiated Conventional submarine deal which likely can be armed with Cruise missiles which capable of carrying tactical nuclear weapons, thus completing Pakistan Nuclear Triad.

Export version of the Type 039A, the S20, is believed to be air-independent propulsion (AIP) capable submarine and should the Pakistanis opt for this capability it would give them greater operational flexibility through increased endurance. Pakistan is developing its Babur Cruise missile into a Submarine launched Cruise missile variant which will allow it to hit targets inside India with Nuclear weapons.

Although 8 Submarines we are going to buy from China are enough to carry out nuclear strike. Still sooner or later we would go for nuclear submarines either directly from China or build in Pakistan by Chinese help.

you can put a nuke silo in it??

Do you've an SLBM

No but Pakistan has tested Naval Version of Babur although info was not revealed. So we have capacity to carry out nuclear strikes through Submarines

do you've any source for the testing???

@Zarvan (Never mind i just got it)

And isn't Babur SLCM ??? won't this lack range??

First through submarine it can reach close to your area and carry out strike and nothing is known of Naval version of Babur but it would have more range than Land Version and more new Cruise Missiles would also come soon

Yes, the Babur is a SLCM.

It was tested though kept a secret. The Americans thought we had modified one of their harpoons. There are strong rumors that it's already in service with the Agosta-90b.

Thanks

yes it can be put in agosta and the New chinese Subs... but the real problem is its an SLCM with limited range and limited in weapon package...

without a SLBM with good range upto 3500km Pakistan's deterrence won't be credible

and who revealed it to you ?

Paks Strategic Naval Force Command -- established 2012.

lol enemies really that's what is called as being a military professional.

Do you think a Proffessional PN officer will reveal about Paks strategic projects on a forum .. coz of some indian trolls?

Ask the forum management about people leaking secret info on this forum in the past and the consequences.

Thanks

DESTO (MODPs website) revealed info on a longer ranged Babur version..

It would be surprising if someday we find out that the SLCM version has a range of around 1900-2000 KM.

Babur SLCM is said to be 'under development, there is nothing so far about it being operational, right ?

You will not even find a govt source confirming the existence of an SLCM project... Just like other missiles...

Yet the canisterised Babur CM,dozen other local and international sources & establishment of SNFC all point towards it.
