What's new

India's bid to join US alliance could irk China, Pakistan: Chinese media

Speaking frankly india is stupid for getting itself into this pact, the U.S is a real vampire when it comes to self interest and you never want to give them permission to enter your front door

India had something better than pacts, it had Money

And the U.S likes money, with money and bit of diplomacy and hand shaking you could have what you wanted without any pacts

You instead played your cards made pacts with the U.S which will utilise them to their full extent identified yourself as a real enemy to china and even the Russians will be wary.

I will be honest you were a bit dopey

It does look like we gave too much in signing this deal. But then we already have similar deals with some other countries as well. What exactly was agreed upon, will not be known to us.

Pakistan is fine, we will surpass any predictions you can bet on it, we have only one country which we truly hate and despise and that's india and we will prepare and plan to defend against india and its machinations

I wish Pakistan congratulations on nearly getting out of the Major US ally terms... bright future lies ahead.

Hope our leaders had learnt a point or two with what happened in our neighbourhood...

Chalo see how it goes

But chai wala should have been aware, money buys everything in this world and India had money to get whatever it needed without going down this route

I dont know who said it but

Worse than being an enemy of the USA is being a friend of the USA

Chai wala is a Gujrati. I have seldom seen a Gujrati making bad deal. Lets see how it goes.

Did china gave a thought when it made alliance with indias arch enemy pakistan?

We're not talking about CPEC here.

Indian shenanigans are all related to CPEC.

He will give you a lecture on why economic growth of Pakistan will go into double digits shortly. Just ask him about his deficit financing and the latest figures of Pakistani debt structure!!!!

Tag me when he starts ...

Instead to playing pass the buck game among yourselves, why dont you message me directly sunshine. I promise I wont step on your tail.

Tell the Economics Professor that he should sit and find out why the "defacto" Saudi King visited Pakistan and has 'burnt' the midnight oil ......

Is it to do with the fact that MoS Gen VK Singh was in Saudi Arabia for "serious" discussion three days back? Any correlation? hmmmm I wonder

@Joe Shearer @anant_s @MilSpec @Spectre @PARIKRAMA This, the visit of MoS to Saudi Arabia, is an interesting tidbit of gossip which came my way actually ...

Again, why dont you reply to me directly sunshine. As I said, I promise, I wont step on your tail.

No one gives a fu** about your Gen Singh. He is a nobody. The fact which is gone missing on you, that had he or India for that matter was important for SA, you would have seen someone or COAS himself going to Riyadh for damage limitation but as his highness the "defacto king" himself was in Islamabad goes to show who wants whom and who is desperate.

And if any doubt:

http://www.dawn.com/news/1280871/prince-mohammad-coas-discuss-security-cooperation

"Prince Mohammad bin Salman, according to a source, sought reassurances from its long-time ally in view of the changing geo-political situation."

Case closed.

They badly miscalculated. Over estimation of own power sometimes makes people do such things.

They got misled by the Pakistani RR...Their ally..like north Korea. .. will drag them through much more deeper alienation.

@Joe Shearer
Sir, in contemporary time, this is closest India has ever been to US. I don't want to speculate whether this is good or bad, but is Non Aligned Movement Dead as far as India is concerned?

That is one reason why I feel very gloomy about this.

We got nothing and gave away everything.

What did we give away?

Now Modi has the Sankranti syndrome.

If kicked sufficiently hard by someone whom you secretly admire and aspire to be acknowledged by, you keep coming back after each kick, and trying to worm your way into the good books of that entity. If he had not been denied a visa, if he had not been kept out meticulously before he came to power, would we have seen this complete abandonment to the beloved?

Now you are just trying to rationalize this move by the govt using something that happened to Modi.
I have not seen our opposition parties going hammer and tongs over this. They have restricted themselves to issuing just a statement and nothing more. I would have expected a lot more screaming and protests had it been against our interests.

LOL, you glee over this??

A visit from the saudi defence minister..While thousands of Pakistanis lost their job in Saudi Arabia?

Before you jump on it...Indians working there lost theirs too..but a couple of billion remuneration which is lost is more important for pakistani bubble economy than for India.

Your statements in red, yours truly in blue:woot:

The professor:

India is a regional nuisance whos balls are now firmly in the hands of western civilization. To expect they will come inline and support CPEC for their own benefit is a silly thought. India needs to be subdued in parallel to the construction of CPEC.

The professor:

Trust me , the day western masters decide to pull the rug under your feet, you lot will be back to the maruti days. Do you think your economy is not subsidized by western powers? There are reasons you lot top the list of highest recipient of USAID. but that is just a drop in the ocean.

The novice:

Reference the subsidised part.

The professor:

You Indian like to play "pass the buck" game? You can join in , I am not that overbearing, or am I? You scared son?

Not passing the buck 'sir'. Asked you to reference only the specific post I quoted you directly on. Am yet to see the reference. Waiting for it, sir. I, an Indian, like to have the facts lined up, Sir. And am seriously open to learning facets am not aware of, sir.

Your post as has been highlighted, merely gives you the answer to your own question as, again highlighted .. rendering it a moot point. It is a travesty to intervene between two posters already engaged. That is why I butted out Sir.

When you have put up your reference of Indian Economy being subsidised by the West, Sir, may I request you allow some time from your schedule of 'intellectual sermons' to give an explanation of deficit financing of Indian economy Sir to enlighten us mere ignorants, Sir?

Sincere regards.

This should be a good start me think

http://www.dawn.com/news/1194228

India biggest recipient of US economic assistance over 66-year period: USAID

I am well impressed here, truly and honestly. How did you guys manage to pull this one despite being a soviet ally for majority of your existance?

while sitting on $480 billion external debt, may I know where this rather strange "cockiness" is coming from? We are losing sleep here in Pakistan with this huge and ever grown debt of around $80 billion.

@Taimoor Khan

This is Chinese debt Sir.

http://www.tradingeconomics.com/china/external-debt

Your comments on their status?

I thought the debts were short term and long term broadly speaking as also the commercial debts were those whose payments were a routine in any EXIM transaction.

However, being a kid (at least someone accepts I am young, bored of being called old), I would really like to learn from you on how China is being subsidised.

@Taimoor Khan

Sir what are your comments on German debt and its financing?

http://www.tradingeconomics.com/germany/external-debt

The professor:

very interesting Indeed. You guy should give our policy makers crash course on how to milk a forigen cow while sitting in the lap of other.

That $480 billions "external" debt is on the "state" of India. What is your internal debt btw?

And then he bailed .. without a reply on his first contention......

@Taimoor Khan How will you step on my tail, when you were so busy stepping on your own? I believe you .. you wont!:woot:

I just posted the grossly stupid posts of you from the other day, to exhibit how you know naught of what is transpiring ...

So why don't you stick to your brain farts (as evident above) and not quote me?:-)

@A_Poster Sir Brain-Farts-A-Lot is here ... he left you looking for answers the other day .... oooopsss he has gone away again ... sorry!
