Has this guy been arrested in India? If not then the Australian team should suspend any games they play with and/or in India to send a message.

He should be located first. I hope the victimised family makes a point of lodging a complaint. There are agencies who are very prompt in taking action on these matters, and I hope it is brought to their attention sooner than later.

Gujarat is a state, and has many towns in it. Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat. It is far gone in terms of Sanghi persuasion having been in effect there for decades. It is not surprising that you find them intractable.

However Aakar Patel, the campaigner for human rights that Modi and his government are so scared of, is Gujarati, and as liberal as they come. Look him up.

Teesta Setalvad, who was a leader of the civil society resistance to the cover-up of the Gujarat riots of 2002, and who has paid a very bitter price for it, is Gujarati, of a most distinguished family (her grandfather, M. C. Setalvad, was a distinguished Attorney General at the centre). Look her up.

The Congress I have opposed since 1967, the CPM after they came to power and corrupted the whole state. However, they did keep the communal slate clean.

I do have some idea and can understand the hatred filled vitriol you faced here and must be in other open forums too. And it looks as though the Sanghis hatred is more pronounced against their own Indians, the open minded, sage and who calls a spade a spade.

The first sign of increased fascism is that dissenting voices are not liked, and you faced the brunt of it, were in the eye of the storm.

This isn't the India I've known through friendships. I have always felt there was anger, but over the years hate has permeated so much. It is vastly different, in more ways then I care to share, largely because of selfish reasons. It effects my own memories, and my own friendships.
