The fact is, even though India is supposedly the next big superpower, Indians go to excessive levels to get out of India to get to the US, & stay back in any way possible. They also resort to illegal off-campus employment at some 7/11 or Dunkin Donuts. A lot of consultancy companies (fake sponsorship letters), use pyramid/Multi Level Marketing (MLM) ponzi schemes (for example, Amway. MLM is illegal btw), as well as many other corporate frauds. Certain IT consultancy companies headed by Indians exploit easily influenced Indians who want to stay back in the US at any cost, ask them for a huge deposit, & "prop up" their resume' from 1-2 years to 6-7 years work experience by creating fake details on their resume', & are even willing to let a representative take a phone interview for you.

Of course, most Indians do not resort to these practices. But most of these schemes are run by Indians predominantly.
