Firstly It was Hydrogen Sulphide that Killed them , The source was the Sewage treatment plant.

Human waste produces Methane on degradation( CH4 ) not Hydrogen Sulphide !

How come they die of their own Smell as ur title suggests ?
Were u thinking that H2S came from ..... Oh God !
