Indian Railways : Tejas 2.0

You must realize that the average speed of HSR is 270 Km/h and for the Train 18 will be around 130Km/h because of the track and signalling technology used in HSR vs Semi HSR. Therefore the difference is still 100 Kh/h which IMHO is still huge. Do read up on the technologies used, its quite interesting. Also with local manufacture of shinkansen prices will also stand reduced. The maximum speed difference would be 350 km/h vs 220 km/h.
What's the diff in cost per km for ballast and ballast less tracks in India ?
Why not go for all ballast less tracks to future proof our tracks ?
The metro lines are already having all ballast less tracks.

Actually it can be stretched upto 210 kmph but will be restricted to 160-170 kmph due to rake limit

Apparent its 220 kmph but the analogue speedo only shows measurement till 200 kmph!! Check out this video of speedo ar 180 kmph. Thankfully there is also a digital speedo.

I don't know about speedo is analogue or digital. but i know that we have supplied parts, with required specifications of able to hold stress upto 210-220 kms for a period of 44 months.

I believe its a beginning since this is a new area ICF is working towards and once specifications of T-20 will emerge i think there will be changes to T-18 so that cost of productions can be reduced.

Production capacity is very poor just look at LHB coaches we can't even produce which can able to replace our premium trains.

a new coach factory coming up in Kolar, lets see whether T-18s line will be started their or ICF, Chennai will continue to produce & modify T-18s.
