nope , pretty sure about it. He said, as of now the mk 2 int going to have an aps, though they ARE looking at trophy, not IF. Also the guy said there will probably be an indian aps for fmbt

I'm sorry. It I find this news very hard to believe. IMI IF was selected 2 years back and all sources on the Mk.II point to the IF APS being fitted on the final product. Until I see anything t the contrary I will find it hard to be convinced as all present evidence makes it clear Mk.Ii will have APS and it will be IF- IMI showed as much at Def Expo-2012.

@chairborne ranger- your claims are pretty absurd is looked at properly-the responses to the RFP asking for APS installation on the second and third tranches of T-90S have already been received. Secondly, the RFP now being prepared for upgrading the second tranche of 700 T-72M1s will also specify the installation of APS. Therefore, if we’re to believe you and your "source" the Arjun Mk1s and projected Arjun Mk1As and Arjun Mk2s as being the only frontline MBTs devoid of APS. Is such a scenario even conceivable? Not to me. Why would the IA/DRDO/CRVE spend SO much money on R&D for the Arjun and the IA pay >$9 mn PER TANK for it to be delivered WITHOUT an APS despite clearly seeing the advantages of such a system as it is installing them on all other MBTs. The Arjun is to be the cutting edge of the IA armoured corps and hence state of the art in every way.
