Just get it over with already..no offense but with all the cash, I just can't understand how long it's takin for India to choose the fighter

We did this earlier with Russia and France for the carrier and submarine deal respectively. Have to deal with regular delays and cost escalations. This time I guess the tender is tightly bound with terms and IAF seems to want to squeeze the vendors for every last bit. It's called retaining the bargaining power by increased anxiety to suppliers.

well Euro typhoon has Touch screen display, advance fly by wire which shall not permit the pilot to go beyond limit manuevors dangerous to plane, capablity to flight at level of 19000 meter were most air to air missiles not work. radar is of 160 km capable jamable. voice recognition for orders

Rafale has better spectra system having electronic suit to jam radars of enemy, cost of 30% of plane, Radars with 145 km can not be jammed. less weight and need less run way to take off.

With respect to JF-17?

Rafale may not be capable as JF-17 Block II, F-16 or J-10 but it look sexy.

Yeah but that is taking the toll of our young pilots. 2 Have already become martyrs this week. WTF is MOD doing? Just get the freaking damn deal done...this saga has been going on for the last 6 years. Pathetic.

I know buddy. But we need to have patience with this one. Last thing we want is for the chosen fighter to be plagued by maintenance issues in the future or for it to turn into future flying coffins.

both rafael/ef-2000 are the best
but are they available before 2018 which is i think tough target
next 10 years of iaf are really difficult due to shortage of jets and regional pressure

What competition? The results are in front of us. We got French infrastructure, Rafale is a fine addition with AESA as mentioned we get good TOT and we get critical weapon supplies WITHOUT the fear of sanctions from the French. How much freaking long does this idiot Anthony want to decide on?

We have changed 3 air chiefs in this competition (ACM Major, ACM Naik and now ACM Browne) and still nothing has come out. Shytty government.
