whatever is the reason, Indians stopped first. then Pakistanis stopped.

Hey, Modi and his ministers were exposed as a bunch or immature, ranting and raving hate-mongers during this conflict, while the Pakistani government acted maturely, issued mature statements in support of peace and maintaining the ceasefire, involved the UN and invited independent observers to observe the situation and validate the Pakistani version of events.

Given all of the above, I am pretty satisfied with how Pakistan handled the situation, and kudos to Nawaz Sharif (of whom I am not a big fan) for how he handled it.

No. It's not much different. There are officers deputed here as well, but the foot soldiers make a huge difference.

Don't make a mistake - BSF is not cowardly or anything. Just tactically not upto the mark and hence suffers unnecessarily high losses.

Situation of BSF is a bit different, deputation of JCO's or CO is not a regular rutine... yes they get help from mil. intel & follow their instructions in many orders cos things are very much interconnected.

As for coward point, it's hillarious to even think that a force which is named "Border Security Force" act a bit less brave.Man they roam openly on the border in the sight of enemy which is non pridictable & face the sudden wave of offence, how can a coward do that?

BSF is a very well trained force & they showed their bravedo on wars many times.

Bro, i believe we should not get into the symantics of getting a$$ kicked and blah blah....I believe the objectives of the flare up were either achieved or got lost due to prolonged fire from both sides and law of diminishing returns kicking in...

if the objective was to put a death nail to any chance of talks for some time then that objective has been met...however if the objective was to check Modi's government resolve and the limit it will go ....then it kind of backfired a bit...I am not sure what is your take on it but ceasefire favors India far more that Pakistan, so if you see GOI response for similar flare up during UPA goverment they were a bit meek(till beheading occurred)..whereas during Modi the response is way more aggressive..we have seen a similar response with China a few weeks back...
