I agree. Both giving out confidential info on sensitive matters such as defence as well as giving out personal info of any kind on the net (on any forum) is not advisable. What you mentioned was good to read but please be careful not to say such things in public.

Great tank Concratz to india but i doubt it will be even near the top 5 tanks in the world.
India is not the only one making tanks you know
South korea - K2 Black Panther (Most advanced and Expensive tank in the world)
Japan - Type 10
Turkey - Altay (Armed with L/55 120mm Barrel)
Turkey - Leopard2NG
USA - M1A3 Abrams
Germany - Leopard2A7

I have no doubt it will be an cost effective tank but you need more then cost effective to make your army stronger.

Sorry to say but everything is possible and tank is not a big deal. We have been working on MBT for around 30 years. French also took 30 years to build lecrec. We didn't had the technological base and were facing with poor economic conditions and various sanctions but they were still able to build a decent mbt.

Leopard is not a turkish mbt (no disrespect). We also built t90 bhishm but that doesnot means it is an indian mbt.

Also you are placing Turkey - Altay in the list of tanks which are operational. Again no disrespect but until that MBT undergoes test trials stop counting it. On the other hand arjun has been tested against t90 and it was victorious. As far as arjun mk2 is concerned, it is planned to placed against Singapore's leopard, then we can decide were it stands.

You haven't placed British Challenger whose track record is the best in Iraq and Afghanistan war and t90 which has badly beaten leopard in Saudi arabia tests and french lecrec which is considered to be the most modern mbt.

No disrespect but your list looks like a fanboy list. I am not saying arjun will definitely make in the top5 but i am saying it might as it has the potential.

Ok,but except the fire control computer what is turkish in the Altay?I mean the armor for South Korean K2,German rheinmetal L55 gun,engine,suspetion,transmission-so how will it be turkish?
By the way,you would not have told so if you knew about the armor,guns and FSAPDS rounds used in Arjuns.I could have told you but my felow countrymen will get upset.But I can tell you one thing,the Arjun mk2 will be no way inferior to K2 Black Panther or Altay if not better.

You are absolutely right man,the list is way too wrong.The Altay is not ready.It is not even turkish,atleast 75% parts of the Altay is foreign made.

Not fully true. Most of what turkey bought from South korea is ''Know how'' To Build an Tank. Its shape is equal to an K2 Black panther nothing else.
The armor is also indigious. its going to be Devolped by Roketsan
Tell me a single western tank that Doesnt Use L/44 or L/55 ?
Turkey started devolping indigious engine 1.800hp the Devolpment started to late soo its only going to be attached to the 3d and 4d Batch
The whole system going to be devolped by aselsan
It has an Extra wheel soo Survivablity highly increased

Turkish altay tank have much more ammo cababilty then the arjun and defintly more powerfull one.

Leopard2 is an German tank yes but the Upgrade is turkish and its equal to an Leopard2A6 or A7 Exoet for the barrel of course

Arjun uses an ARDE L52 main gun which is way stronger than the Rheinmetal L44.I did not know the British had developed a L52 main gun unless you can prove me wrong.

I have to tell you everything from the start.Ok,IA uses 800 T55s and Vijayantas.Last year A.K.Antony told in parliament that IA would replace the 800 tanks with Arjuns.So atleast 800 Arjuns will be ordered in total.We don't need Arjuns in such huge numbers like T90.
