Once you stop concocting conspiracy theories, perhaps you can think of a rational reason, why such a thing was done?

Why would some one not show, the mutilated remains of your family member to you? Is it possible, it was done to prevent you a life long trauma?
Once the army has determined the identity its soldier, it will acts according,to what it thinks is in the best interest of his family members.
On a personal note, could you be able to see(god forbid) and live with seeing a mangled body of a close relative, say a brother, a son, husband.. or would such a sight haunt you forever, hoping you would have never seen it?
I know it would seems an academic question on the internet, but things are not so in real life.

Because we are not playing a diplomatic game on mutilation of our soldier, army is very certain as to events of the day and identity of the dead soldier, we are not trying to prove anything to anyone..that is why we said no to UN probe and that is why there is a flag meeting and ultimatum from very high ups of very serious consequences, if such actions are repeated in the future.

Secondly families always see the dead body for identification, and in case the body is totally burnt or chopped into centimeter square pieces, DNA tests are done.

Body could have been ID'ed by just looking at the back as said by the brother of the deceased all the while keeping a cloth over the head.

Indian side violated ceasefire agreement by building bunkers, we protested - trigger happy Gulab Singh Rawat raided a Pakistani post and killed one soldier, we retaliated and killed two Indian jawan. It remains army's responsibility to give the dead soldier his last rites with full honors.

Bunker was built facing India and not Pakistan.It was built to prevent the movement of people from Indian side of Kashmir to Pakistani side.

Ceasefire was violated Pakistan by repeated by firing on Indian position.

We still haven't seen the weapon dropped by Gulab Singh as claimed..does that mean the incident never happened ?

Flag meeting was done to ensure, Indian point of view clarified to Pakistan in no uncertain terms.

I am not talking about cross border firing incidents in which both civilians and soldiers die(which are pretty common on LOC) and in which it is not possible to ascertain, which side initiated it, but Indian forces conducting cross border raid across LOC in response to Pakistani raid.
