Indian Army Chief threatens Pakistan with more so-called strikes

They have occupied Kashmir during 1948 when Pakistan was a a year old. Even then Pakistan captured 1/3rd of Kashmir. India and China control the rest. India hasn’t gained any territory since then. Speaks of Pakistan’s successful ability to checkmate an enemy 10x bigger.

Just a little clarification. India occupied IoJK in October, 1947, when it sent its regular forces. Even before that, it was under the occupation of Dogra Raj, since 1846, and before that it was under the rule of Sikh Raj, since 1819.

Thanks. Goes to shows India’s pathetic military. Paper tigers backed by fantasy film industry. No wonder they believe 300+ militants died in Balakot and that a PAF F-16 was shot down. The world laughs at their stupidity

Can you imagine anything than the drafted script of bravado and feel good. Interestingly, extremist nationalism is taking the toll and they are now boxed having no other option but have to follow the same order of threats & warmongering. They do have grieving domestic audience to whom, they showed a lot of dreams of superiority and ruling over the region and then the world.

The thing is, they will in-fact do something silly which may trigger the regional destruction but on other hand; even if they don't does, we will have to face the non stop filth of lies & propaganda by Indian Media. This is more worrisome in parallel to what worse could happen in the region.
Yes strong chances are once the curfew will be lifted and when things will get more ugly in the indian occupied Kashmir valley they will desperately do something silly against pakistan to put all blame on us.

substantially, nothing has changed. Pakistan never accepted article 370, so it’s removal makes no difference. Thanks to prime minister Imran Khan, India’s soft image is taking a brute beatings and for the first time, the Kashmir issue is being internationalized. Modi and the Hindu fascists have isolated themselves. They played their last card. For Kashmir’s, It’s always the darkest before the dawn. The future belongs to the righteous and those that stand firm against oppression.

India violated-among a whole host of other international legal norms-the Shimla accord which called for no further change to the status of either sides’ portion of Kashmir irrespective of the fact that neither side accepted each other’s claim. Technically therefore the LoC is now a ceasefire line & not a “line of control” should Pakistan decide to make that interpretation.

You can't play defensive all the time.we will invite manmohan Singh and I have never seen such a defensive policy.indian policy is consistent.whether Pakistan invite bjp or Congress, they will continue threatening statement.indian air chief hinted about more balakot type attack and here army chief openly said to cross loc.it is eye opener for many.

Peace is not possible.kartarpur or no kartarpur, indian attacks will not stop.very sad to see our country in this situation and very sad to see defensive policies.

Our plan and our future is kartarpur and manmohan singh.i mean India annexed Kashmir and we are inviting indians like they are our friends.ehat kind of mindset is this?

Indian Army Chief Warns of Cross-Border Raids to Destroy Terror Camps Inside Pakistan

New Delhi (Sputnik) Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat has sent out a stern warning to Pakistan on the issue of terrorism and said that India's armed forces will not give a second thought to crossing the border, if needed, to destroy terror infrastructure inside Pakistan.

However, General Rawat added that Line of Control- a de facto border between the two nuclear-armed nations- will remain sacrosanct as long as Pakistan does not vitiate the atmosphere.

“It is no longer going to be hide and seek..If we have to go across, we will, through the air or the ground route or both. The red line has been very clearly drawn as to what will be the future course of action,” General Rawat said in an interview with The Times of India on Monday.

Rawat also dismissed Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s warning about a nuclear war between the two countries over the ongoing issue of Kashmir. Rawat said nuclear weapons were not used to fight war, and said Khan’s statements depicted an “inappropriate understanding of employment of strategic weapons”.

Rawat said that Pakistan has been supporting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. He added that fighting a proxy war with India is the state policy of Pakistan. Last week, General Rawat revealed that Pakistan has re-activated the terror camps in Balakot inside Pakistan. The camp allegedly operated by Jaish-e-Mohammed was destroyed by the Indian Air Force in an aerial strike on 26 February this year.

Indian Air Force Chief Air Marshal RKS Bhadauria also reiterated, on Monday, that the force was prepared then (for the Balakot strike), and it will be prepared next time. "We will be ready to face any challenge, any threat."

Nevertheless, Imran Khan, in a surprising remark at United Nations General Assembly in New York last week, invited UN observers to visit the progress made on the terrorism front in Pakistan.

“We decided that we would dismantle what was left of these (jihadist) groups...I know that India keeps accusing us (by saying that) there are these groups there. I would like the UN to send observers (and) see for themselves what we have done," Khan said.

“No Pakistani government would have dared to do this because it would have created strife," he said. “But we decided that there would be no militant organisation in Pakistan."

The relations between the two countries dipped to a low point in February this year, when at least 40 Indian soldiers were killed in a suicide attack by Jaish-e-Mohammed. India had blamed Pakistan for the attack which was categorically denied by Islamabad.

The tension resurfaced in the first week of the August after the Indian parliament scrapped Jammu and Kashmir's seven-decades-old special status.

Reacting to India's move on Kashmir, Pakistan downgraded diplomatic ties with India and expelled the Indian high commissioner. Islamabad also suspended trade and communications with New Delhi and mounted a diplomatic offensive.

Kashmir has been a bone of contention between India and Pakistan ever since they gained freedom from the British colonial rule in 1947. Both control part of Kashmir but claim it in full. They have also fought three wars since then, including two over Kashmir.
