That still means that the force is divided between two fronts.BTW Indo-China border is guarded by ITBP..only Bangladesh and Pakistani borders fall under BSF.
The Indian media, fed by propaganda from the Modi government machinery, will obviously claim that "the Indian response is heavier, blah, blah, blah ..". Modi ran for election on the basis of being "stronger on national security than Congress", so at the very least the rhetoric and claims during this incident are going to be exaggerated to accommodate Modi's "56 inch chest".On the ground advantage can be seen from the fact..as per Indian new agencies..firing from Indian sides is much heavier..as per them intelligence reports convey a large number of Pakistani post have been destroyed or partially damaged(80 -90).
The casualty numbers being provided by both sides are civilian - these are people living in, at times, mud houses instead of concrete bunkers. Basking in glory over how more civilians have been killed on the Pakistani side is a pretty shameful exercise. And obviously casualties on Pakistani side are higher..even Pakistani media is claiming 20 Pakistani casualties..since these violations began
pakistan really left quite way back in arm race due to the economic and political unstability. The budget is 3 bn is 10 time less then India,
Also India got Modi at pivotal point and Pak is revising old wine in new 2014.
Pakistan should tone down the secruity paradigm , find new world order and align herself. Pakistan is important country and intrest are the only permanent friend.
dont annoy Pakistan or make ridiculous statements like bring up 1971 (which wasnt even a full-scale war fought on the ground by indians)
realities changed in 1998 for the region......india has neither the capability or the strength to dominate or subjugate Pakistan. It just wont happen. We are too much a proud people, and would set aside any differences when it comes to dealing with india
The inability to "hold" is not the fault of the Army - the burden for that falls on the civilian government and civilian institutions, which have failed miserably to constitute feasible policies to "hold" areas cleared by the Army, let alone effectively implement them. Trying to understand the finer points of a complex issue like COIN before shooting your mouth off would do you, and the general tone of discourse on this forum, a world of good.Every 2 years or so your army runs an operation with a fancy urdu name and declares victory, and the bomb blasts start from the very next day
Check the deceased and injured list of our side. You will come to know the hypocrisywhere's your proof of that? and dont even talk about firing on civilians....we know you dot-heads are expert at that. Kashmiris will attest to that
