In democracy and secularism democratic protest are tolerated Shiv Sena has not made this as a religious issue. It wants to capitalize on sentiments related to Mumbai attacks.

Marathi issue is different thing that is because thats where their main support lies.

First of all politics shouldnt come in between sports and film industry ... such things are global and everybody should learn from stronger ones... whatever happened was absolutely wrong .. the ipl guys should not have nominated in the first place ... However, Shahrukh did at least spoke up and gave his honest viewpoint ... Hats off to Shahrukh !

I agree. Pakistani friends are writing in some sort of emotional mindset which is understandable yet not fairly balanced IMO.

If SRK was honest, he was all having power to select players from Pakistan. He didn't take any action then. Now he is just making politically sensitive statement. He is no kid and fully aware of the interpretion. Also he coming movie seems a big big factor. I do not find any logic behind why SRK is saying "truth" this time only. It may well be opposite as well.

SS etc. are busy in some other issues. Also most of the Indian here agree they would kill them at once, if given a chance.

Lastly, Indians are surely guilty of mishandling of the proper communication to Pakistani stakeholders prior to IPL. This is indeed a fatal mistake and they should apologize for that. But for non-selection, I do not buy the conspiracy theories behind the event and do not think this is an issue where non selection lead to national pride-hurt or discrimination. Everybody knew in advance this is a private tournament and there is no surity for everyone to get selected.
