The only solution to the J&K problem is to convert the LC into an IB.

Any amount of talking , arguing etc cannot change the fact this this is the only viable & workable answer.

This too I may add shall be a major departure from the stated stand of GOI & will take some doing & explaining to get it past the Parliament. The hawks & doves on both sides can argue till the cows come home but there is no other workable option.

60 plus years and talks have gained nothing. Kashmir has no permanent solution, nor until something drastically changes with either India or Pakistan. Till then we are keep going to witness this drama bazai initiated by our leaders at the behest of the US of A.

That would be incorrect. There is not such term as Pak Kashmiries or Indian Kashmiries. Kashmiries are kashmiries and Kashmir both ours and yours is there home land. Question is when are we going to accept that and let them decide their future instead of being dictated by the either side.

Kashmir like Punjab & Bengal stands partitioned & so shall it remain.

Your sentiments are appreciated & so are the effort made to paste pictures.

The bottom line is that will anything change ? the answer is no.

Both India & Pak are playing into the western hands by not accepting realities & in so doing losing lives,money & opportunities to move on.

I have maintained in a No of previous posts, in any property dispute possession is 90 % of the law. There are any No of threads here that argue the Gurdaspur & Ferozpur should have gone to Pak . But, can anything change now ? No.

We are simply losing our head over a piece of tail. Vested interests in India, Pak & the West are gaining from our inability as matured nations to accept & reconcile ourselves with what we have .

The above is not considering things like water flowing into Pak.

“That as a President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir I will remain loyal to the country and to the cause of accession of the state of Jammu & Kashmir to Pakistan”

UN's position is that it is a disputed area (India Kashmir,Pakistani Kashmir and Northern Areas) and that this should be solved in a bilateral way.

Ofcourse it was our idealistic yet foolish PM who took the issue to the UN thinking UN will help India get back Kashmir.

You haven't replied to G-n-R's post.. Why single out Congres only? Didn't BJP also did the same inspite of Kargil, Plane hijacking, Parliament attacks etc? While I agree that the present govt. is also full of jokers, let us not make it a political campaigning.

IMHO, going ahead with the talks is not a bad idea at all. Rather then doing nothing and allowing the status quo, it is always better to be pro-active in settling ALL border disputes of India.

Who says we cannot take the first step? Why cannot we be the one with the bigger heart? After-all if we manage to settle these bloody disputes, it's only going to bring peace and more development for our future generation only. There is a difference between being powerful and being arrogant. With power comes more responsibility.

Take as many 'first steps'as you want. Have as much a 'bigger heart'as you'd want to...just don't even talk about altering the boundaries. The only solution to Kashmir is a conversion of LoC into international border and allowing free movement of people from both sides.

For anything else, the Pakistanis will have to go to a full scale nuclear war with India.
