India vs Namibia | Most Useless match of the T20 World Cup 2021

eh ? none of this squad are close to retirement.

Shaz is on his way out, good riddance... The Wall is a better fit for this team.

also, anyone remember the "Shaz and Waz" (Shartri and Akram) show ? those 2 tharkis would get a pretty white girl from the spectators and interview her.. the vibes were super creepy.

I knew someone who worked for the star sports production team back in the day when India/Pak and SL played some series in Singapore, Wasim Akram and Ravi Shastri were rundibaazes. lol

aur suno.. Waqar Younis used to be a regular at Delhi and Bombay high society bollywood type parties.. some say yeh cocaine kar ke party karta tha, which is fine afaic.. retired superstar ho, rich and famous ho.. kro jitni party krni hai.. :P
The problem with Indian cricket is they sometimes start worshiping players like demi gods - the 2 openers have been exposed and 1 or 2 youngsters should be given a chance - Rohit and Rahul have played it large against Scotland minnows but against the big boys looked out of their depth.

No wonder, MF lose WC matches in India. Jab ch**t demag per aur profession L per ho tu yahi hota hy.
Yeah, possible he wasn't as focused as he should have been on the Mohali game back in the 2011 world cup.. guy was bowling coach back then, right ?

Anyway, it's kind of an open secret that some of these guys really like/liked to party.. wasim, waqar, shoaib ! lol (heard some stories there too), Nikhil Chopra, Atul Wassan, Yuvraj and many from the Indian side as well, but I guess it's a personal lifestyle choice once they have retired as players. "Active duty" guys get tested so often they even have to be careful about any medication they take.. some guy, can't place exactly who or from which team in this world cup got injured and had to take "the jab" which is morphine.

This Pak team is quite incredible in that sense though, saw an interview with Mat Hayden and he was blown away by the discipline and spirituality of the squad, they're all a mostly pious bunch and they do their namaz thing 5 times a day etc

Political/Geopolitical situation dekh ke bhi, they're carrying the weight of a nation who are counting on them to restore a sense of dignity among the countries of the world, the Afghan war disaster, the political fallout of which resulted in NZ and Eng backing out of tours.. you know better than anyone.. these guys have a real fire in their belly and have a chance at eternal greatness.. it'll be a much storied win for years to come if they can pull it off.

I'm rooting for Pk to get this one, honestly.. glory for Akhand Bharat !

No, they had 2 off days and performed poorly but are far from paper tigers.

They came short at crucial moments. They need to make changes. The team cant live on old glory days. The bowlers looked tired and even Kohli performed poorly. If they feel there is nothing wrong - fine keep on plodding. There are some fine young players waiting to show their talent.

Players from poor countries...are you implying India is rich? Dillusional india

Was going to respond to the seasoned troll - but couldnt be bothered. IPL has shown the world that Indian cricket has become predictable and lackluster. Boring predictable and inadequate. Players coming from abroad - milk them take the money and go and enrich their own land. Dont blame them and good luck to them. Has it done Indian cricket any good? Clearly with the results - they gone backwards....

india can help poor cricket boards , that is why players from poor cricket boards try hard to get opportunity to play in IPL .

India needs to look after themselves. Look at the fact its cricket talent has exposed. I guess money cant buy success.

Sometimes find it difficult to take when an Indian talks about poor - when India has 600 million hungry begging or starving. Screw the cricket feed your population.

whatever , poor players from poor cricket boards are running from pillar to post just to get a chance to play in IPL and get millions of dollars . that is a fact . we are helping cricketers to get rich .

They did fall short by a lot the first two games but I don't think there's any need to hit the panic button just yet. The current crop are a good mix of reasonably young seniors in their 30s (Ashwin, 35, and Rohit at 34 are probably the oldest?) Lots of youngsters are also being blooded, Shubman Gill, Shaw, Venky Iyer and Umran Malik etc

Away test series against top sides is the real benchmark for how good a country plays cricket, and yes, there are 'white ball specialists' these days but the core group of top guys play all formats.. Kohli, R Sharma, Rahul , Bumrah, Pant.. these guys retained the test trophy against Aus, in Aus.. for the second straight time.. doesn't get any bigger than that, your wazir e azm saab also acknowledged it the first time... and then they played brilliantly very recently in England.

The GABBA test was won by basically our B (bench) team, bigger than any silly limited overs world cups can get, bigger cricketing achievement than 83 and 2011

and the one at Lords, dear lord.. 2 events that shook the time space continuum of the cricketing universe this year. Man, James Anderson just held that failed forward pose forever after Siraj knocked his stumps.. rongtai khade kar dene waali wins !

Main point being that.. Indian cricket, despite their poor showing in the 2 most important matches in this 20 cup, is generally in very good health overall.

No nationalism or anything here, just love cricket.. and am actually more excited about the Ashes than the New Zealand tour of India.

Kashmir gaya tel lene, I want out countries relations to improve so we can play a proper game of cricket.. gend laal, kapdey safaid.. 4 slips, 2 gully, fwd short leg.. SS Afridi vs Sharma and Kohli.. usme hai asli mazaa !
