Islamabad—The visiting Afghan Parliamentarians have called for immediate pull out of foreign troops and involvement of genuine stakeholders in the peace process to establish peace in Afghanistan, said Afghan Government’s Advisor, Ehsanullah Aryanzai on sidelines of Pak-Afghan Parliamentary Jirga here on Wednesday.

The Afghan parliamentarians emphasized that prolonged stay of foreign troops in Afghanistan could prove counter-productive.

Aryanzai said, the international community must take measures for infrastructure and social development of tribal areas and creating awareness among people.

The Advisor said, India is using Afghan soil to destabilize Pakistan and Afghan security agencies are unable to stop Indian intervention due to absence of centralized government mechanism.

To a question, he said only trust and restoration of confidence among Islamabad and Kabul could strengthen bilateral relations leading to durable peace in the region as well as education and social development in the terrorism-hit region.

“PPP-led government is far better than the previous one as it represents real voice of the Pakistani people and we have noted sincerity in its efforts,” said Aryanzai.

Another Member of Parliament, Engr. Muhammad Asim said, although presence of foreign troops was supportive for maintenance of law and order, but their prolonged stay would create panic among the people which would be counter-productive for peace.

He said Bush administration had ignored the regional stakeholders and taken unilateral actions, without taking the neighbours into confidence, which certainly aggravated the situation and the desired objective of peace could not be achieved.

Acting Afghan ambassador to Pakistan, Majnoon Gulab, said that stay of foreign troops was necessary for maintaining law and order. He said time had come when international community should act promptly for ensuring peace and development in Afghanistan. “Now, we have to move practically and take action instead of merely relying on verbal assurances and intentions,” he said.

.. I think at the recently concluded G-20 summit, its is pertinent to mention that G-20 countries have approved India's role in Afghanistan and primarily USA believes that India is a Key Strategic Ally to get the peace back in Afghanistan.

NO India is not key strategic ally to get peace back in Afghanistan but rather now India sits well with US plans to invade Pakistan. And this is the only reason CIA's strategy is being implemented by India using Afghan soil against Pakistan.

If you have followed the developments US has also took Iran (once considers as biggest enemy of US and Israel) on board viz viz Afpak. (read it only Pak) the Af part is merely a bluff.
