India, Turkey to hold extensive bilateral talks today

Lets make them clear that dealing with India is not anymore joke to be meddling in India's affairs for the pursuit of Ummah romanticism .....

FM should convey our concerns at Turkey's support for Pakistani stand on Kashmir.

You can't expect us to act on your terror Gulenist organizations in India when Turkey itself supports Kashmiri terrorists by supporting Pakistani stance on Kashmir.

@Sam.

As I was saying, this whole trip of the Turk foreign minister was about Gulen and strengthening Erdogan.

Asserting that FETO is 'secretive transnational criminal network' with presence around the world, Mr Cavusoglu said, "Unfortunately, FETO has also infiltrated India through associations and schools."

In an interview to Press Trust of India after holding talks with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj, the Turkish Foreign Minister also said, "I have already taken up this issue with my counterpart."

The visiting minister said, "In all countries where FETO has a presence, we ask them to take immediate actions to remove them from their territories."

And in return this is what we get, this statement by this very Mevlut Cavusoglu mind you was made just 2 weeks back.
Turkey fully supports Pakistan’s position on Jammu and Kashmir,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a joint press conference here with Pakistan Prime Minister’s advisor on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz.

Pak-Turk relations are far more than ummah stuff.. They are as old as the Ottoman Empire .. And today Turkey isn't just our economic but also strategic and major defence partner.

Pak and Turkey both support eachother over every issue.

Our neighbor must be worried especially after the Middle East countries especially Saudi Arabia started courting India at Pakistan's expense. Now Turkey seems to have joined the bandwagon too!

Did you forget the Saudi Snub on Kashmir?

Did you also forget Turkeys stance on indias membership to NSG?

Or

Turkeys stance on Kashmir which the same minister explained a few days back when he visited Pakistan after the failed coup?

And what exactly do they have on offer for India?

Erdogan's government has an agenda, and that agenda doesn't align with India's plans in the long run. So should we really be strengthening Erdogan by following his diktats?

Even if we dont align in the long run, there is much scope to work on the short and mid term stuff.

I mean Turkey and even Russia are now improving relations where it is pragmatic (and not so long ago some on this forum were calling for Turkey to be nuked because it shot down a Russian jet over syria).

India can do the same....of course it has to stay mindful of what Erdogan is and what his end game desire is....but that does not mean we should treat Turkey as some pariah. They are a good consumer base and significant presence in their immediate region.

They won't have the time to focus on Kashmir considering the shit going on in their border regions with Kurds and IS
