1100+ TR modules on JF-17? It looks better than Gripen-E and Rafale.

It does appear that JF-17 would be quite ahead compared to Tejas. That too at one third the price.

It does indeed have 1100, you can check the website of the company. It’s been quoted many times in articles from many sources as well. TRMs do not tell the whole story though since power and heat are a major factor, but generally more is better.

JF-17s also has SAR with a 1m^2 Resolution, which is average, something like Eurofighter with its new AESA would have 0.25 m^2 but those are much bigger and more advanced. That’s where these aircraft like Rafale/EF/F-16 take the lead. 1 m^2 is than acceptable for size and price, since at least it has that.

Pakistan Selects KLJ-7A AESA Radar for JF-17 Block-III

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) selected the NRIET KLJ-7A active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar for its forthcoming multi-role combat aircraft, the JF-17 Block-III.

Obviously the biggest advantage to India here is that they made it themselves, and being their first it’s quite commendable, I’m sure they’ll improve it with time. KLJ-7A is only license produced in Pakistan and Pakistan will still take years to develop its own.

1100 T/R modules is a good number?

Decent number for size and price, larger AESA radars are have more, they can be water cooled as well for better heat dissipation. JF-17s AESA is good for its price and size but if compared to radars like the CAPTOR in EF or other, bigger aircraft, it is very modest, especially with its SAR Mapping resolution as mentioned above.

it's not good for us. India is making rapid progress. There are so many projects and money is invested on right projects. Pakistan should also try to make radars.

Be assured, India don't make Pakistan specific weapons anymore
