What's new

India test fires Agni-2 with range more than 2000 Km.

Could be, but that is precisely what A6 is being developed for, no? Why waste resources on modifying a missile to deliver MIRVs 2000km shorter?
Agreed, A6 will have 3000kg payload. But thats not what I said, I referred to RVs being under 1000kg, which in this case could be 3x1000 or 6x500.

Whatever you say boss. :drag:
OTOH A3 is an old development, SFC already have it so why not give it the capability after all isn't MIRV's main purpose to save costs (via reduced missiles) and defeat ABM.

Shaurya and Pragati are dead projects now. No, end user in Indian Forces want that.

Firstly, it require to replace Prithvi series first before Agni.
Mate a suggestion, please don't make claim without source. Shaurya tested 2 times and actually a land version of Sagarika which tested more than dozens times from pontoon. Now regarding Prahaar ,IA not yet decided about the doctrine for it.But its available for exports and can be available whenever its needed by IA.

Mate second thing, when you know a thing, dont ask for source. BTW, even what source you want?

And if the Shurya and Prahaar inducted, then where is user trials? And bro use your brain, the end user of Shaurya and Sagarika are different, and even they are way different in capabilities.

Although the question isn't directed towards me, but of course A4 can replace A2. In my opinion, since DRDO and IA (SFC) don't have a headache for budget, following missiles should be retired and replaced as soon as possible:

-A1 with Shaurya
-A2 with A4
-A3 with A5

The mentioned respective systems are similar in dimensions so the SFC should not go through much trouble in re-assigning previous missile groups. However their RVs are different.
To me it makes zero sense to produce A5.
A3 should be replaced by A6 directly. The forces can jolly well wait for 2 years for the validation test of A6.

Yes indeed you have "Zero " sense of what A5 is !!!

It is a reasonable suggestion, however, integration of an MIRV bus would certainly need more flight tests and validation. Besides, eventually A3/A5 will be replaced by A6. So to me it seems a waste of resources.

Indeed, however, the forces may well have to wait quite a lot longer, which may be undesirable for them.

its good :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: but where are shaurya , CLGM , ASTRA , K 4

Astra and K4 both were tested few months back. And Naval version of Shourya I.e Sagarika has been tested for atleast 10 times now, all successful.
