GlobalFirepower just shows what your strength is overall for example Iran has more units then Pakistan however Pakistan has more advanced units then Iran and Pakistan is more powerful then Iran, Similiar to China India, China is ahead of India on more things including many things. so no China is ahead of India for Now maybe it will be more balanced in the future if India can keep up.

PS: US has its own interests in preventing China from bullying its neighbors.

USA will stay within the Region to ensure stability and work with it's all Allies and China.

Well scale of the blockade will depend seriousness of the situation ..if an Indian flag vessel is attacked SCS ..a Chinese flag vessel would get a similar response at Malacca.

However if situation is more serious and calls for complete blockade of vessels en route too or from China.. that can also be done.
After all we blockaded entire East Pakistani and west Pakistani coasts for all foreign and domestic ships back in 71...Once and area declared a War zone ..merchant ships(especially the foreign flag ones) usually keep off it and those who break the blockade are either boarded and forced to change course or simply blown out of water(as happened to American flag vessels, carrying ammunition en route to Karachi.) or the ships which were destroyed in the "tanker war"(read about it) .

If you do that we will take the war to land, where we have an overwhelming advantage in geography, artillery, tanks, aircraft, missiles and intelligence.

China doesn't even take India seriously, but if India really wants to stick nose in our business, then maybe we should grant their wish this time.

They want a 62 rematch, maybe we should give them what they want.

I am plenty educated on the subject but if you want to debate perhaps you could present some defence for Chinese declaring 'South China seas' as 'South China's sea'.or claiming vast sectors of EEZ as their own.

how it has evolved from a poorly equipped, undermanned force of 1962 to a well oiled military which was compered to the nazi war machine in 1971 (according to london times)

they also forget that while the chinese where struggling with the japanes in WW2, indians were fighting the japanese, germans, italians and british across 4 continents simultaneously

China was in a civil war during the Japanese invasion yes Chinese have fought Japanese, and us in Korea including several other nations like the UK, Turkey, Philippians at one of it's weakest point. neither underestimate India or China.
