India snubs China, to attend Nobel ceremony

In India's case we are willing to do so,Our stance on Tibetian protests being a proof.

Same cannot be said about China.

The denial of Visa to a Kashmir based general is naked and blatant way of putting it that you don't value our concerns/sensitivities.

Simple reason being that in no way India is of any use to China as long as we aren't an enemy's ally.

Hosting an Tibetan exiled government on your soil is not only a naked and blatant way of disrespecting our sensitivities, but also a outrageous way of interfering with Chinese internal affair which warrants every foreign policies against India.

.
Initially India did side on with China on this Nobel boycott issue.
But now the stance seems different.
I don't think India's stance was any different when the Nobel Peace prize was announced... they just decided to remain silent and did not release any comments officially condemning China as some other western countries did.

.
What kind of reaction? My contention is China has the right to play this game, even if it mean running in circle.

By attending that ceremony, India is conveying a clear message that she is not willing to stop, then let us just run in circle.

But what I hear from some Indian members is China should calm down, India just attends the ceremony to please Norway, nothing else.

What a crap!

I dont know what r u complaining about,China does not respect India's territorial integrity and then ask India to work in it favour, why should we respect the voice of a nation which does not respect our feeling.

And the hell then a lot of cry about stabbing, snubbing and the arrogant threats of repercussion's

.
Sigh. ..

So much for the asian century. If this is any indication Sino-Indo govts are planning to interact, the west has nothing to be worried about.
Sadly, the blame rests more on the indian side for letting emotions get the better of them, although chinese aren't immune to it either.

I'm genuinely disheartened to see senior and respected members going at each other like this.

Disappointment is only natural when reality sinks in.

Before calling me dishonest please provide a source which proves me so.

Don't be daft. Read the bolded quote. I'm sure even you can understand that Russia's excuse is an attempt to be polite while still making the political point.

BBC
Russia does not need to cosy up to China and is large enough to take its own decisions. But the dissident factor is important here as well. Russia is in an authoritarian mode, although it argues that it is simply re-imposing the discipline that was lost in the immediate post-Cold War period.

so china going to terminate economic relation with those who are attanding...

No, why should we? We are making huge money there.

We are pragmatic people, if we can benefit from economic relation with India, then there is no reason for us to terminate it.

.
The sentiments of the population in general always count in the minds of the decision makers.

Is it true that China issues are not included in the manifesto of any Indian political party?

That is too much, China is a goal, China is a rival, if you do not do this or that, then you do not want India than China. This sense have too much, some competition, but if go through the media rendering, competition will become a sense of rivalry, this is the situation in India.

How is hosting Tibetan govt a way of interfering with Chinese internal affair? Do you have any links to show that the Tibetans in India are interfering or influencing anything within China?

did India had kept alive any Tibetan movement, the matter is dead for the entire world,India itself had accepted Tibet as part of china, was not that enough,no need to raise the bamboo again and again, what if we had not accept Tibet as Chinese region, but that is not the case here,we r respecting ur sensitivity my friend but u r not

Exactly.

We import raw materials from India, and export finished products to them, i.e. we have a trade surplus with India.
