So basically the String of Pearls is being countered by String of Samosas.... Smart move. Although it is hard to believe the doctrine is called Singh-Doctrine, based on the not-so-Singh of a PM of ours. OTOH, its very pleasing to see that Mozambique, Mauritius and Madagascar are very comfortable with us and support our security initiative.

There's a reason why it is called INDIAN Ocean. .

@rajusri....absolutely wrong....we are in a real dellusion...Those countries will share India concern and vice versa against China is a symbolic way...I dont think they will come around in open against China in case of any China's aggression....Of course and unless USA backs up these countries...

India is more than realistic to the situation than anyone else. China's this effort is not realistic and this tiny countries do not have backbone to stand against India and have close cooperation so far. In case of war China will get multiple enemies from all sides. Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, Japan and US has much worse relation with China than India. They will take full advantages of it. These small countries are so near to India and far away from China that as they will not have any military facilities than it is between them and us. lol

We need a more assertive, secretive and ruthless foreign policy backed by rapid direct acquisition process of military hardware. Unfortunately, 99.99% of the GOI functions like Air India..

We don’t have to make any efforts for any encirclement of China. China with its aggressive posture is itself making enemies around it. Except Pakistan, NK and Burma, all the Chinese neighbours- India, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam- have problems with China. we should not be too much anti china.

i am afraid USA will not help India if sino India war occurs. ( heavens forbid )

i hope GOI will take firm stance on deal with Vietnam

this is necessary because china has been very aggressive on AP issue.

they are doing constructions in Pakistan administered Kashmir despite our protests

so we should help Vietnam regardless of protests from china

China is working on String of Pearls on one side(which are far away!) and confronting other neighbours like Taiwan,Vietnam,Japan,etc..(which are immediate neighbours). I guess this is a poor strategy from China, They are developing hatred in immediate neighbourhood and creating new friends far away who are so weak to even support themselves in case of war and this is more of a fear tactics which they are trying to inflict in Indian mind. It does more good to India than bad as its coughing up its Look east policy even faster than before...And Japan's proximity with India is another bonus. Vietnam is already in business with India. And Malacca Straits is so close to India( few hundred kms from nicobar Islands) than China (1000s of kms away!).

If this stapled visa for J&K and Arunachal continues, India should adopt the same for Tibetans and Xinjiang residents who travel to India. Hit them back with same weapon used by them. And create diplomatic pressure as well. It requires lot of hard work and simple political will.
