it is always amazing that many indians become high on such low value brainwashing "articles".

as already pointed out 100 times, Chinese government should set aside some budget to help some indians to travel to China to see the real situation. By doing this, when they go back to india, they can start questioning the regime in new delhi. I mean how can the regime systematically fail generation after generation?

not sure abt it but wot m sure is they should surely set aside some moolah so that u quasi chinese can have a real look into china rather than reel

sorry dude, I don't live in China, I don't work in China, I live in Sydney for the past 10 years.

.
you started this thread with a stupid article written by an indian claiming "for many Chinese, daily life remains a grim struggle, and their government rapacious, arbitrary and corrupt". dude, see a doctor, you need help..

Chinese government is regarded by most 3rd parties to be more efficient and more transparent than indian government. corruption is much much more serious in india. Chinese economy is 3-4 times better than yours thus Chinese people's daily life is far better off than indians.

your government and media told you it is about 3-5 gap, it is not true. buy a ticket, go to Shanghai, Beijing, or even our less developed cities like Xi'an and Chengdu, see it in person. even a small small town in a less developed province of poor Anhui is better than delhi.

buy a ticket go to Chandigarh and noida. you will be out of your delusion.

how many citations you have for your professional work? 0. I am numerous.

now you tell me who is a better source of information? no brainer to me

Who told you that I have never traveled out of India?

I never said that.

I said you have never been to China, yet you are posting something stupid regarding the daily life in China.
I said you have never lived extensively (3+ years) in a different culture, yet you are talking about fair and complete view.

now let me honestly tell you and all indian members here something. very honest:

there is string of pearls designed to encircle india. there is dedicated department in Chinese government handling this. 100% true and real. however, at the same time, the biggest "string of pearls" stopping india from progressing is its own problem at home. you have successfully demonstrated such problems -- lack of basic awareness of the real world, over confident, over estimating india's strength, nationalism.

dude, buy a ticket, travel to Beijing, compare the difference of two capitals. you will change your mind.
I was in UK for 5 years.Period.

and i belive there is a difference between ideologies of the government and our leaders know it. For a democracy to develop it takes time and when there are already hostile nations around plus such a vast diversity of people you wont find in any city of China, its not an easy task and also is not easy task to lead such folks. You should praise us rather blabbering at us.

:angry:Let me straighten it up for u once and for all

1)we are more concerned abt the problems concerning us than u are.

2)There is for sure a string of pearls as strategic encircling has been chinese hallmark and is India thwarting it.

3)China has internal problems its jus that Indian media is more open than the chinese censored media

4)Everyone in India acknowledge the Chinese might and infact respect what they have achieved

My job has taken me to both China and India- Dehli, Mumbai, Amritsar,Chandigarh/Beijing,Shanghai,,Hong Kong

And my comments are China is all style with no substance. It appears the GOVT is spending too much money trying to show off their success and show to the world that their system works- there is a shuttle train from the airport to the city in Shanghai that travels 300kph/hour, it is entirely pointless as the journey only takes about 7 mins but it ks a clear statement to all those entering China. It's a sham- I saw lots lf nice buildings out of my hotel window but then I couldn't check my emails or access my company's site from my laptop using the WIFI as they were all censored. Whilst there were some genuinely nice people in China most were insular and indifferent to my/any foreigner's presence and I was very wary lf the police and felt very uncomfortable whilst lutside of the hotel.

In india there isn't the glitz and the glam but the "bottom-up" approach is reaping tangible benefits and actually benefiting the Indian people. And the people themselves lived up to their stereotype- truly friendly and warm and willing to help/assist and joke.

I'd rather be a poor man in India and ve truly free than a rich man in China who always has to look over his shoulder.

Anything and everything from the east has to pass through Malacca Straits...

With excellent relations and armed relationships with Singapore, naval facilities in Vietnam and the stronghold of North Andaman Islands the surveillance capability is almost 80% complete.

A base in southern Thailand strip would complete the naval pearl .
