It's better for India to make these in local ports, maybe by offering the contract to private players as they newly entered into the defense market rather than buying them from abroad and wasting tons of foreign exchange. Since, India has expertise in building Aircraft Carriers, I'm pretty sure they could build a world class helicopter carrier.
