India-Pakistan Talks - 2010

We can bomb India through cruise missiles. India would probably want to bomb us back and how we handle that is another story.

But if we wanted to bomb Dams, the dams would get bombed.

Well Asim....which way does the water flow.....you Blow one dam...in India ....and water reaches ...Pakistan...distroying ...possibly ....multiple Dams...and flooding your own country.....Guess you are in love with Fidayeen ideology.

You are right Asim.. Its not the question of the means to bomb. It boils down to the political will and ability to sustain the reprecussions. All the bluster aside, you will not be able bomb the dams because of the same reason India has not been able to bomb the terrorist camps of LeT and Jaish..

AA,

Ha Ha. If Pakistan could do that they would have done it, but what is life without dreams. After all your much more prgamatic than those here who feel that they should have carried out surgical strikes on USA. I like the way you hide behind the word " wanted".

Regards

As Karan pointed out, its all about political will. We all know, that Pakistan has the ability to bomb those dams.

Look all I'm saying, if you wish to escalate tensions, you shall have your wish.

Yes you probably can give a massive response, but I'm saying there would come a point where we won't care.

Beyond a certain point we'd go nuclear as well - we have a first use policy.

I agree... I guess comes back to the question of threashold. Its a war where each side has to tread the fine line between being too effective and too ineffective..

Pakistan with respect does not have the kudos to bomb any Indian dams. Doing that would take your country in the same direction which Afghanistan headed towards after 9/11 , nukes or no nukes

You're welcome to believe that, however the Pakistani point of view and beliefs differ greatly from those of India's.

Well I am sure you could launch a missile against US Seventh Fleet to and you would if BM or HM ever sat in Islamabad but can you win it? NADA.

As I said you need 1:3 ratio in your favor which you don't have. Heck Gen Kiyani has himself stated that it will be six months before you can go against the rest of TTP. A COIN ops leaves you fatigued what will a full blown offensive do to PA. Remember you are the attacker here not India.

Would have, Could have and Should have are good words for 14 year old key board warriors.

For old people like us (U and Me) CAN WE and STILL WIN is what matters. I think Kargil taught GOP and PA a lesson on how the world will react and the result sent NS scurrying to Washington at the behest of Gen. M.

Forget about military and political factors...Do you have economy to sustain war???

Again with respect, Pakistanis should get rid of their conspiracy theorists mindsets and get rid of their hysterical nationalism which deludes them into believing that they are militarily superior and undefeatable. Take a stance and stick to it. One moment the USA is your saviour and the next they are your devil. One moment India is your neighbour with whom you have family and historical bonds and the next you say that you have nothing in common with India and Indians. You guys should emulate the Israelis. They have a policy and they stick to it and to hell with the rest of the world. It has been rightfully pointed out that you neither have the economy nor the ability or stomach to handle a war with India. If such a war should break out you can be rest assured that your Yankee masters would shy away from you as they did in the past. No spare parts for your Yankee flying machines and no night vision goggles for your soldiers courtesy of Uncle Sam. Neither do you have the money to buy it from anybody else. We are self sufficient. That itself should scare the heck out of you. Then you have a neighbour like Afghanistan who is waiting to get even with you for poking your nose in their affairs for the past 60 years. The Chinese will only scream out in your favour hoping that you will increase your loan account with them. They never militarily poke their noses into anybody else's affairs. Count in Russia and Iran etc who will lend their support to India should you do something stupid like bombing any dams or provoking a war with India, I am bound to ask myself why R&AW agents do not disguise themselves as Pakistani commandos and bomb one or two dams. That would surely put an end to Pakistan as a nation

No we do not; which is the reason why we may simply throw the full fleet of nukes at your every major city center the first chance we get in a war and burn down the so called Incredible India into a crisp!! :flame:

Regarding the talks at hand; Pakistan will in a few days cancel the date until India drops its drama-baazi and comes down to discuss all issues, including that of Kashmir and your doodling in Baluchistan.

So much for the 1:3 parity, over-head flights, water-terrorism cr@p being written here by some dud-balls!!:disagree:

Now let me ask you instead, do you have the kahunaa's to see your countrymen burn in a nuke fireball? Never mind us!

'Hum Tau Doobay Gay Sanam Parr Tum Ko Bhi Lay Doobay Gay!'

You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't escalate and then complain about the escalation. You can't decide how proportional or disproportional our reaction would be. No need to beg or plead with me about not going to war, if you want to end hostilities, work for it. Or prepare for the escalations.

Oh Wow!! Did you use your entire BRAIN cells to come up with this assessment?? Man! talk about delusions supreme! My post above is also to answer your bakbak!

Will we have an economy not to go to war?

Which brings us back to the point of the threashold. Or war being like a dead man's switch for Pakistan. In a nutshell, not an option till that threashold is crossed and Pakistan's existance is threatened...
